First Look: Race Face's Era Carbon Cranks Are Guaranteed For Life
@raceface: Three pairs of Next SL cranks in my house. Two of the three have had the crank loosen off the axle. One was on a gravel bike the entire time, the other set was on my 120mm XC bike - both times I was told that they are not warranty because I must have over-ridden them and that this is not a known issue. So the soon to be useless third pair will bring my total to $1800 of defective cranks that have not been taken care of by Raceface.

Round Up: 30+ Fabrication Tutorials from Frame Building Legend Paul Brodie
I took his course 5 years ago and it was absolutely amazing. Paul is a master and a legend. Going in to it you think it will be a lot of instructional and course work but 2 hours later you have a torch and some tubes in your hand. I had never welded in my life but I am very mechanical and do a lot of wood working so the tools were all familiar. I built a gravel frame and it now has thousands of miles on it. Every time I ride it I marvel at the fact that I built it. One of the best moments is when I was ready to add my rear disc mount so I ask Paul "what do we do for disc brake mounts" and he hands me a 5" square of steel, a hack saw and a file. Honestly it was so rewarding - anyone interested should absolutely take his course.

First Look: Liv Intrigue Advanced Pro 29
@bigtard: The guys at Knolly have a great saying "human specific geometry" which kinda speaks to your comment of humans in all shapes and sizes. The size thing is just one factor with women and cycling. For some women (not all) having a sense of community is far more important. Sometimes it is a balance of both (or neither). But to your point about cost - the industry would be much further ahead if it just agreed to use one seat post size, one head set size/style, one handlebar diameter, one (maybe two) BB sizes. There would be more cost savings to the customer with those changes than making, or not, making female specific frames.
