Interview: Kate Courtney on Head Injuries, World Champs & Recovery
Went OTB off of a 4' drop and landed on my head while wearing a Giro Fixture MIPS. The helmet split in two and was hanging off the front of my head when I got helped up but the MIPS liner attached to the helmet's fit-adjustment system was still attached securely around my head. CT scan showed some bruising on the posterior part of my brain and I lost a bit of hair but I think it could've been worse without MIPS. Had quite a headache, dizziness and nosebleed immediately after the crash and nausea for 2 days (threw up after being wheeled back to my room after an x-ray). Worst part were my neck & shoulder muscles. According to my ortho, the muscles "planked" to prevent over-compression/extension of the neck vertebrae. It took more than 3 months before I could turn my head normally. Got back on the bike 40days after the crash. Will only wear a helmet with MIPS or a system similar to it when out on the trails now. Currently using a Lazer Oasiz MIPS.

Fasst Company Releases Alloy Version of Flexx Handlebar
Shouldn't a properly tuned suspension fork take care of the same problem these bars are supposedly a solution to?

Not a single comment from the PB community?! Are the Dominions so good that there's nothing to complain about them?

Etnies Release Camber Crank MTB Shoe
@matt-15: using GR7's now, was previously using old-model Impacts. The Michelin rubber has a higher durometer than the Stealth rubber so not as sticky but still has adequate grip, consequently making it easier to change foot position while underway.

SR Suntour's New Durolux EQ Fork - Across the Pond Beaver 2020
I have last year's R2C2 model on my Mmmbop and no complaints so far. I have it at 160mm, great small bump sensitivity and good support on the bigger hits. Haven't really used the bleed/lubrication ports yet. Might try taking out a spacer or two to make the spring a little bit less progressive. The best part? Less than 400USD brand new when I bought it.
