re·sur·genceriˈsərjəns/
noun
noun: resurgence; plural noun: resurgences
1.
an increase or revival after a period of little activity, popularity, or occurrenceIn this sport it’s hard to make a comeback, it’s hard to stay relevant and when times get tough it’s hard to stay passionate as an up and coming athlete. Let’s be honest, this sport is filled with talent and standing out of that deep talent pool has become more and more difficult as the years have gone on. Andrew Bigelow is one of those athletes who, like many, has spent his career trying to make it. Eventually life caught up with him and he was forced to take a back seat to the industry, but Andrew is back with a vengeance and has a newly resurged attitude that is once again fueling his passion of bike riding and his love for the sport. It’s an exciting time for all of us around Ontario, as many of us, including myself, grew up looking up to Andrew and dreaming of riding just like him. It was a real honor to be able to produce this edit for a guy I’ve enjoyed watching in the past and to see him progress as much as he has over the past few months. Thanks to Andrew, Mark Summers & Scott Bentley and the Joyride150 Staff. Also, huge thanks to Tim Hutchison for coming out with his FS700 and providing a second angle!
Andrew would like to thank Scott Bikes, Index Ink, Five Ten, The Sensus, Giro and Chromag for the support in 2014.
