Today in news we aren't quite sure is real, Lewis Buchanan has signed with OnlyFans. For those pretending to be unfamiliar, OnlyFans is a content subscription service used largely for "direct to consumer" adult content, but it also features other kinds of content creators. Creators earn money from fans who subscribe to their content. The site has over 3 million creators and over 220 million users.

 Only Fabs got in touch with me last year wanting to do a similar thing. They mentioned how keen they are to branch away from the porn content as that was never their initial goal but just something that happened which they rolled with.

I think they’ve had some issues with payment companies not wanting to handle porn money and they’re desperately trying to change their image.

I had to turn them down though, as cool as it could be I pride myself on family friendly content and cut didn’t sit well with me too have that porn association.

I did wonder if people would take them up, fair play for being brave enough to do it! YouTube seems to be doing its best to f**k over creators so any competition or alternatives can only be a good thing.

 Exactly, they are going to have some troubles with payment companies which don´t want to be connected to the porn content. Onlyfans wanted to ban the porn content for a while but guess what, they have lot of money from it so nothing happened.

Now when the pressure is higher they are looking for a way how to keep the cash flowing and telling us they never wanted it to be like this.
Nothing to do with sport support. Company is only looking for new sources.

 How is this such a big deal. All the time people keep calling for outside industry money into the sport. Then when someone gets it and it's all funny. TdF road bike teams have daft sponsors too. Not sure who's sponsoring now, but I recall a team being sponsored by Farm Fries or something. Or Quick Step flooring. If you're getting outside money, you may be getting stuff that's not directly associated with the sport. Take the money or don't go there. Oh, they also support those who publish sex-related content? So what? I followed the link and it seems it is also people who want to share recipes for cooking. I actually didn't see anything really sex related other than some could say some ladies were objectifying themselves by wearing tight fitness clothing. But if you consider that sex related then you'll be having a hard time out in the real world.

That said, for creative professionals I thought Patreon was the platform for getting support.

 @dirtyburger: 100% subjective from each person's perspective. to Lew, appears so. To others the racing aspect is still exciting. In addition, many may enjoy both in a similar fashion. This all might also be a result of UCI's large push to eliminate all but the very top tier (read $$$$$$$) racing teams from the DH /Enduro big show by fussing with 'qualifying rules' and charging the outlandish 'team fees' this upcoming season. Lew and other riders may be limited to World Cup travel and this is another opportunity to make $$ away from UCI
