We were beyond stoked to be a part of the grand opening of the Steve Smith Bike Park in Nanaimo, BC. He was a larger than life inspiration in Canadian cycling (cf. Miranda Miller winning Worlds!), and the park ensures that inspiring the next generation of riders will be his lasting legacy.

Thanks to everyone who supported this project, and to everyone who came out for opening day. We can't wait to see the next Stevie tearing it up on the circuit.

That stoppie to bike whip is pure magic, never get tired of seeing that exuberance. Makes up for the bad double-whiff on the high fives right after. Long Live Chainsaw. Great looking park.

Bro. Clearly you've never seen a perfectly executed high-ten to bro-hug. It is a move reserved exclusively for the bro-est of Bro's.

I cried. Not the first time thinking about Steve Smith and certainly not the last. Thank you for the great video and the amazing park. Very stoked and grateful to be heading over to ride it this Wednesday.

Man, I miss that guy. Never met him in real life, but it feels like he was a friend. I remember when he won the world cup, I was in my office late...and I stood up out of my seat and screamed for joy, "Fxck yeah, Stevie! Whoo!" or something to that effect. It's so true -- he was larger than life.

Chainsaw would have sawed through the players at the worlds this year and every year after. Let's not forget the real chainsaw. A true tooth munching force to be reckoned with. Happy to see the smiles at the bike park. Miss his straight make saw dust of you and his smile of happiness. Now that will always be missed.

Me too. Theres that saying, you dont know what you've got until its gone, but it doesnt apply here because we all did know what we had. It used to be so incredible when Steve was in the start hut of a race and they put up his name and his hometown and it said Nanaimo, BC. Its where I live, and Stevie made us so massively proud. He made Canada proud. Thanks for that Stevie.

Damn, that's incredible. The bike park looks absolutely stunning. Really love the touches like the mustaches on the jumps & chainsaw on the wallride.
The video was put together incredibly well too.
