3 generations of freeriders went to Scotland a few weeks ago, when Hans Rey met up with the current DH World Champ Steve Peat and Youtube sensation Danny MacAskill. The three explored the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, the home of Danny and the Giant MacAskill Danny ancestor, who was according to the Guinness Book of Records the only true giant and tallest person ever at 7'9", see what they were up to besides heli biking, whiskey distilleries and a good laugh...

Amazing video and pics inside,

 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacAskill

I knew Robert Wadlow was 8'11" but he of course had a genetic disorder and died at 24. Giant MacAskill was a normal person who was just physically impressive. He would make Shaq look like a little girl on the basketball court. If born today he would make so much money. Can't imagine what he would look like on a proper sized mountain bike. Probably have to use a motorcycle chain and internal gears.

Awesome video, showcasing all mountain riding in Scotland real well. I keep meaning to head over to Sky to ride, it looks good. My Aunty lives in Ord on Sky too, so not like I don't have somewhere to stay there. Purple - I thought the same thing with the Torridon section, some epic descents around Torridon.

that video is awesome, such nice places to ride by the looks of it!

what song is playing in the video?
  • 2 0
It's some kind of remix or alternative version of a Gomez song called 'Get Miles'. The original album cut is hella different to that one.

Wicked piece of video,an old Trials legend in Hans'no-way'Rey,".Who has more than still got the skills". An up and coming Trials rider in Danny MacAskil, who already has 3.678 legendary Trials signiture moves under his belt.
And who could turn this into one dynamite trio,Dr Steve Peat me thinx, all around legend,World Cup Owner,World Champion, alledgedly collects pewter pieces, and his a Dr Seuss fan, along with long time friend and competitor on occassion "Flyin"Brian Lopes.
That was a corking piece of video of three of the best ripping Scotland a new arsehole.
Props all around.
