I guess here are hundreds of Fox reps in Pinkbike, because any negative comment about their product gets instant -4 or more. So to make sure that my comment isn't hidden, I'll say: "The products looks amazing! So much better then TLD... So much better!"
  • 55 1
This has been going on for awhile... they are also getting pretty liberal deleting peoples comments. Even when they are in no way offensive or beligerent. If they are going to censor the comments that much, then why not just say f' the comments on products we don't want to see any negitive comments on? Because censoring comments like that produces a skewed image of the public opinion.....

Not really a big deal I guess but I noticed it awhile ago, they also tend to shift comments they "like" to the top, others they don't to the bottom.

For the record, this new Fox stuff looks great. I like the PRO helmet.
  • 28 1
Yeah, let the freedom of speech be FREEDOM
  • 13 1
So that's whats going on I did wonder. I've commented on post before and had lots of replies but can not find or see them strange. I really think constructive comments should be not removed . Nice fox gear I like the neon yellow jersey at the start of the vid
  • 49 4
I want to test this: I find fox products to be inferior to other race wear brands.
  • 26 2
Sorry, my Alpinestars kits suit me just fine! ....and now we wait
  • 46 0
Now they will know you know that we know what they know what you should not know . I don't know if you know but do they know others know ......... Who KNOWS LOL
  • 10 0
Agreed I do like there race wear and what not but there everyday clothes I don't like to wear because all the "wrong" type of people wear them.
  • 7 1
reinholds ^^^ TLD is better, fox is still great though. fox is quit a bit more affordable which is good. the new stuff looks sick!
  • 16 0
Royal clothing has awesome prices for the same quality as TLD and FOX
  • 15 0
Bring back the days when you could see who it was that propped a comment up and down....

Well they got the suspension part right, never tried the clothes so couldn't say
  • 16 0
 Different company from the suspension....
  • 6 0
@superbikes you really know how to f*ck someone's day eh??? I have to read your comment aloud to process it lmao.
  • 16 16
It rare that anybody at PB deletes a comment - like one in 10,000 and then only because it is vulgar or hurtful with no relation to the article. When users get negative propped more than five times, PB's algorithms automatically move that comment below threshold. The actual number is five negatives more than the positive comments on that post. Soooo, you get thrown off the comment board by your fellow commenters (if that is actually a word). Spammers who post numerous positive or negative props also get automatically bumped. Try it with this comment and you can see how it works.

I loved the Smith/Bryceland section. Cool watching those dudes ride together.

So you get "bumped" if you use a feature of the site that you provide (+/-)??? Seeing as you can only "prop" any given comment one time that seems a bit of a redundant redundancy and fairly stupid to me. Maybe it makes more sense if you wear a Lycra sin-suit while thinking about it???

As far as the line goes: MEH... I get wanting your racers to have a highly noticeable and memorable kit, but to ME, the only decent looking stuff is just the same as last year (Demo) for the most part (not too many ways to make a solid colored pair of cargo-shorts all that "different" from year to year and that is fine by me) and for as much as you pay to be a brightly colored billboard for FOX I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. I've had family that worked in the clothing lines of Nike, Adidas, Morrow and a few other names of varying popularity, and to see two IDENTICAL pieces of clothing go for two drastically different prices based on weather it had X or Y logo on it really stuck with me over the years. I get MOST of my base-layer rafting/backcountry gear from military surplus quite often and it costs 1/4 of the "Patagucci" type stuff out there and it actually LASTS a few seasons. It may not be the hot ticket item of the season, but it works...

BUT, I guess if someone's willing to pay that much for something, then, that is what it's worth...
  • 6 0
 Wow, C-Bass, you're named after a fish.
  • 1 0
The-Medic. There is no such thing as what it's worth - I recommend chapter about pricing in "Free to Choose" by Milton Friedman - burn after reading and then read the "Price of nothing" by Raj Patel. So far the best things I've read on the subject.
  • 2 0
has anyone mentioned the BELL FULL 9? it will be out in another month or so and looks to be much nicer than the fox or tld offerings. i can't wait to get mine. i like both fox and tld, and i have used both brands in motocross for years, but BELL goes back further than both TLD and FOX put together in the helmet game.
  • 90 6
All the douchie moto guys have ruined anything with a fox head on it for me. I feel like a tool wearing the little fox stuff I do have. Bring on the neg props...
  • 27 1
 This is 100% truth....
  • 15 1
 +1, agree totally
  • 11 1
Douchie moto guys is a pretty small part of the general population that rides, shouldn't affect what you wear riding MTB. On the flip side, I can't stand when someone is kitted to the max in Troy lee looking like they are sponsored when mot definitely aren't. It's all perspective, to each their own. I wear what I like and everyone else should regardless of what other people may make it out to be.
  • 8 0
I think we can all agree that with any brand there is a small portion who do the brand a disservice.
  • 10 0
Its true about small portion skewing everything, but in this case the 'small portion' is more like 90% of people that wear Fox Head gear don't even own anything with 2 wheels, let alone a bicycle. Maybe this is more for where I'm from and currently live, but it definitely influences my decision whether or not to buy some Fox gear. I do love their gloves and the Flux helmet.
  • 3 0
What lumberjerk said - fox head is the same as von dutch or ed hardy to most who own it. Wear ironically ftw, and you will have more fun than any fashion victim.
  • 10 0
Fox did that damage to themselves a bit too.... you see tasteless Fox t-shirts at department stores now... you don't even have to ride moto to look like a douche, you just go to tjmaxx and buy yourself a full douche kit.
  • 57 0
Is it wrong that I like to just ride my ass off with an old t-shirt?
  • 23 2
Absolutly wrong! Go spend hundreds of dollars on ugly new kits each season. so Fox can keep making hideous gear haha
  • 10 2
^^^^ you sir just won the internet! hahah
  • 18 0
I dont care about clothing, the Video was Dope!
  • 2 0
it was totally dope. Star studded cast.
  • 12 2
beginning to make me thing twice before getting tld..these half the price and in my eyes look as good or better.
  • 13 5
tld and fox are both overpriced. lots of other smaller companies out there with competitive product lines. What you pay for here and at TLD is the brand name
  • 19 3
you pay for the name fox.... their gloves last 5 mins
  • 3 0
The gloves are terrible! I literally got a hole a week after getting them! And I didn't even wear them riding, just building in the cold weather...
  • 2 0
the seams manage to self explode for no apparent reason. garbage
  • 1 0
Got me some Pro Gravity Gloves 2 years ago, still going strong. I use them for just about anything. Can't really beat that for €12
  • 1 1
I think their gloves have improved the last couple years. They have sold out, but At least they don't market their jerseys for paintball teams.
  • 11 1
 Those are some ugly pajamas.
  • 6 1
I haven't been too happy with my Fox gloves the last couple pairs. They fell apart way too soon. I have some specialized gloves now...seem to be holding up a little better so far.
  • 4 1
my bro has TLD and they work great! they last a long time too. and its true, fox gloves dont hold up very well.
  • 3 0
Ive been running tld gp's and they are still going strong after a years of riding and building with them
  • 3 1
Had some TLD GPs recently, good gloves but didn't survive a couple of recent crashes. Fox gloves have always been most durable for me. The worst gloves I have ever used were 661s, palms wore through after one ride!
  • 1 0
CRC january sale get a couple of ROYAL gloves for 10$ they are awesome
  • 2 0
new lid ftw! btw, like the Demo Fr short for swimming LOL
  • 1 0
ergonomic and decent work gloves... 25 bucks lasted me all season last year and I rode almost everyday.
  • 4 0
Is it weird that I have two pairs of riding shorts of different brands, then just rock a cut off or old T-shirt? I mean is mtb clothing crazy expensive for anyone else in this world!? Smile
  • 3 0
I like the look of the fox gear, but over the last three years I've had the ass wear out on three pair of their shorts and the zipper blew out on another. Not to mention, I bought their Titan Racing Chest protector and it clearly says washing machine friendly, and the second time through the wash the back protector got F'd up, and fox was like sorry you have to buy the whole thing again if you want another back protector. I said it's only two months old, and I followed your damn instructions, but thanks for the support now that you have my cash. Your LOOSING me and my business FOX, and you have no one to blame except for yourselves.
  • 1 0
2 zippers on a fox rain jacket blew out on it's first ride! I'm usually a warranty king but I was so disappointed I didn't even bother to warranty it cause I didn't even want another one.
  • 15 9
Looks freaking boring to me...as always! TLD all the way!
  • 3 1
Wow... from some of the comments I guess they've managed to make men as moronically fashion obsessed as women are. Who cares if you don't have "this years kit"??? It's not like anything is ACTUALLY new, it;s just a new print that'll be "not new" the same time next year...
  • 5 0
I'm reporting you to the fashion police! You will respect mah STEEZ!
  • 1 0
 hahahahahahaha
  • 1 0
I have Fox shorts I bought in 2004 that I still wear, still look good. Most of my gear is fox. I love the function of it - I have a jersey with a nice little pocket in it for cell phone/keys. Plus is looks sweet. It is funny though, how the Freeride/DH segment is now a viable group to market clothes for.
  • 4 0
what about the push dh pants? Frown
  • 1 0
It's the Demo Pant. New name, same pant.
  • 4 0

  • 2 0
 No trail is truly secret
  • 2 0
I know exactly where that is Smile grew up in Aptos. It's appropriate that Cam is riding there.
  • 1 1
So I have a pair of Fox Epic shorts from a few years ago that are just about perfect IMO. What is that the equivalent to now, it was built with full stretchy material, had two normal mesh pockets, one zipped back pocket, one key zipped pocket on the thigh, and had mesh vents and cut outs. Size was perfect for me, it sucks when they discontinue gear you like.
  • 1 0
Fox needs to make the rampage pro in a non carbon version for those of us too broke to get a carbon helmet. I much prefer the look of the rampage pro than the regular rampage.
  • 5 1
 look's fresh! Big Grin
  • 3 0
I'll take a carbon Rampage! Red and yellow please...
  • 4 2
I got one last week, they are awesome... =)
  • 2 0
It's a shame that they haven't realised that there are people bigger than a size large
  • 1 0
tbh the video wasnt that good apart from the last jump. dunno what the hype is, i expected more as these guy are some of the best in the world.
  • 1 0
Its nice to see that all the other brands also is mellowing down the designs (tld not so much) cause less is more!! POC for the win!!
  • 1 0
I have to say I'm not a huge fan of fox, but the new pro helmet looks sweet and I think the sidewinder glove is one of the best out there
  • 1 0
Know what im buying soon new gloves! Ride so freakin much gloves dont even last a season.....and yes those fox gloves like always!
  • 1 0
I have some Fox stuff, but never really wanted to have it. I bought it because it was easily accessible, thats why Fox is good, I would say, its everywhere.
  • 1 1
FOX has always been good to me with the exception of their gloves. Nothing from TLD is worth squat except their helmets, which I use. DaKine has dominated my use with no complaints. Their gear kicks ass!
  • 3 0
Where can you buy this new 2013 line ? Uk
  • 4 1
i'm still trying to wear out my fox gear from 5 years ago...
  • 3 0
Bryceland's drift at 1:14 is so amazing. He just rips.
  • 2 3
I love FOX, I love the shocks, the forks, etc. I love the clothes too. All of this look amazing and I would buy....

....But I'am also bitching all the time because 3 of my sergeant cargo shorts got totally bleached by the sun, and scraped in the crouch, using them only on weekends, and after some mails to FOX dudes, nobody could reply.

Did anybody else had this kind of 'bleaching'?
  • 1 0
I love the lightweight shirts but theiners in the shorts ways shrink, even when I line dry them, then they look like a crinkled up pair of depends.
  • 1 0
They've got some of the best in the biz wearing their stuff,it could be the worst made crap out there but let's face it...those guys wear it people like us will buy it
  • 1 2
Bottom line is I cant afford a $500 TLD helmet or $200 kit. And I think I trust Fox since they have been in the game a while. And im not sayin I hate TLD. Id love to have some TLD gear but can't lol unless they gave me some stuff or lowered there price drastically.
  • 7 0
TLD has never made a $500 helmet, can I get some of that crack you are on?
  • 2 1
The carbon tld is 450 The Composite is 370 No 500
  • 2 0
Holy crap, dont even know what brand of clothing or helmet I am wearing for biking. My gloves are yellow and black...I think
  • 2 0
really really like that carbon pro helmet... just a shame its over 300 quid!
  • 7 4
 nice line of products
  • 4 1
So that's where my money goes..........................
  • 7 5
It all looks shit. Troy lee FTW.
  • 2 1
I totally agree that products looks amazing but i'd like to ask Where the hell are mtb-dh pants and full DH jerseys?
  • 1 2
looks vital has got the answer xD
  • 1 0
Id like that DH trail to be in my backyard................... right now please
  • 2 0

 Where's the women's range?
  • 1 0
There isn't one for 2013 beyond what they have on their website.
  • 3 0
There isn't much women's mtb but if you go to the women's moto theres a wicked purple and green kit.

I was just about to ask that!
  • 1 0
Cklynch: not seeing any purple or green? Is it a jersey/pant combo?
  • 2 0
Yeah its one of the womens moto kits but you can buy them individually if you just want a long sleeve jersey for this time of year. maybe this is a better link: shop.foxhead.com/store/products/Gear-Sets/category/cat20102?mode=1&categoryNavIds=cat20006%3Acat20028%3Acat20102

I was also about to complain also about the lack of women's stuff... guess I will stick with moto gear.
  • 2 0
what's the deal with everyone hating on TLD?
  • 5 0
Everyone's jelly cause they're too scared to wear such loud kit. Troy lee's for the people who don't care what everyone else thinks about them and how they look.
  • 4 0
 Everyone always hates the champ.

  • 2 0
Child labour is a good thing, it keeps the prices down. Plus it keeps them kids from running wild in the streets while doing something for the community, never to early to start with that >.
  • 2 0
because thats totally how child labor works...
  • 1 0
yeah, prices down for the manufacturers, but not prices to the consumers. I see Fox just built a new blinged out building...icing on the cake!
  • 1 4
Anyone notice they use the same exact glove as royal...
  • 2 0
Royal makes much better apparel than Fox. It's only natural to copy your competitor if you want to compete.
  • 1 1
thats just personal opinion mate , for me , royal kit dosnt fit aswell as fox + its no better on quality
