Fantastic news from the SCOTT Sports racing department, fresh out of the snow: SCOTT11 teams up with the highly recognized alpine destination of Gstaad Saanenland. The team from now on is named GSTAAD-SCOTT. Gstaad’s commitment to develop an entirely new bike destination concept makes this partnership even more exciting.

This partnership is not just a coincidence, but a well thought puzzle: SCOTT as the leading bike brand with exactly the right products to fit into the existing bike concept of Gstaad Saanenland Tourism, is a natural fit. Plus, the network behind SCOTT with Sébastien Giraldi, Ben Walker and Velosolutions will bring in a lot of experience in trail building and bike park management.

GSTAAD-SCOTT continues to attack in the downhill world cup with its athletes Brendan Fairclough, Emilie Siegenthaler, Noel Niederberger, Floriane Pugin and 4X riders Adrian Weiss and Mirco Weiss. French youngster Patrick Thome has just teamed up with the squad. Former downhill pro Cyril Langeau, who was a team mate of manager Claudio Caluori back in 2002, is joining the team as sportive director.

Same as it was for SCOTT11, it is one of GSTAAD-SCOTT’s principles to promote young riders in Switzerland. Therefore, we are happy to announce that the support of Gstaad Saanenland allows us to have a development team with Felix Klee, Pascal Tinner, Dominic Tinner, Manuel Marty and Tim Kälin under the same roof.

GSTAAD-SCOTT keeps pushing the limits with its long time sponsors DT Swiss, Schwalbe, SHIMANO, FOX Racing Shox, Syncros and e*thirteen chain guides. Red Bull will make sure that those limits will be set higher and higher. Big thanks to the continuous support of AWEKA AG.

This photo should be better in black and white.. I hope Fairclough does better this year being the No 1 rider for Scott. He has been under Minnaar in G Cross Honda, Hill in Monster Specialized. Now he is his own man. He is an excellent rider.. Have a great year ahead!! Smile

I'm really surprised ! Actually there's nothing in Gstaad for downhill... They probably give A LOT OF monney to have their name in this team. I hope that in a near futur it will be a bike park as good as the scott company in Gstaaaaadd !
