DAM! He hit that tree hard, shoulda went back up to the jack daniels station after that! Either that or keep a little keg of it on his dogs collar, "hey rover, bring me my medicine!" Jack & coke is my favorite drink. That was an awesome video, probably one of the best snow shreds I have ever seen!
For me it's definitive THE best Snow Edit I've ever seen. I think Aggy or Dylan posted a pic of that Jacki Bar on Instagram last week. This is awesome. Really nice riding
SO sick ! I wish I was there ! And a Jack station mid trail ?? I am assuming this is what heaven looks like... I am all set with the virgins..... I will take the white steeps at about 2:01 !! Killer vid !!!
That was a rad video. But no, you don't want to ride in the snow; it's not as good as this looks. However the bike-crippling falls are real, and just like what was shown. Only there's more of them.
man im glad its doesnt snow where i am .... i Think i would get sick of riding in the snow pretty quickly haha. Should have a jack station at races, might leel the playing feild abit haha
Man that looks like hard work keepin the bike pointed the right way. Whats it really like? The snow here in oz would be better described as ice most of the time, we get nothing like that too often. The closest i have seen is about a food of pow in NZ once. Nice vid, looks kinda inviting.
No effort there either.. the snow is light and there is no base you rip through it like nothing. first tracks it the best ride of your life.the second dude struggles a bit but not enough to care.. its all about the tires, light snow, no base.. once you have thrashed it all go find a new trail or wait for a fresh snowfall .. lower down the trail where its not as steep we keep it shovelled after we thrash it.spikes on ice is better then summer.. it doesn't snow that much here so its usually easy to maintain.. its snowing right now and i am pumped.. going to go slay more fresh!! just posted a pic to my profile giving everybody an idea of how winter is still rad on a bike...
Hahaha r ound where i live theres a giant ridge you have to climb up and its a killer...but the good thing is that 1. Theres a giant bottle of vodka at the top and 2. Theres a bitchin decent after all the way back down.... Good stuff
Awesome skills & commitment! Riding snow gets to be a bit like boarding because you can't put as much weight on the front end. Most Deff V.O.D. material just for the level of Gnar!! Thought it was mostly done by a snowboard with the bike photo-shopped in until the drops. Nice trail, gotta appease those gods!
Awsome run! I've just in the past 2 weeks tried out winter riding and I absolutly love it! Love seeing other riders playing in the snow. Also the Jack tree bar is just pure brilliance!
The tires are specialized hillbilly's .. 5/8 #8 self tapping pan heads.. i built them using Matt Hunters winter edit made by silvia films..they are game changers for winter shreds.check out that vid for the tech..
they are from last winter.they are also far from dead..i have over 80 different laps on them.. they will last forever because the snow and ice does not wear them out..well worth it so far..
It's that one trail in the woods that you can usually shuttle but now it's like covered in snow so yeah... look for the trail that you can shuttle that's in the woods that's covered with a fair amount of snow. You'll find it no problem.
By the way, best bike pow edit I've seen. Soooo sick!
true story.. but this trail is called whisky river and you need take a mandatory shot before you ride to appease the bike gods.. its bad luck not to..i faked the shot on that run because i was a afraid the batteries were going to die..then hit the tree .just dont pound laps ...

Nice vid, looks kinda inviting.
did you break both brake levers in that spill?! cold alum vs a hot tree
If that wasn't camera play then respect to him ! Great vid
