2. When your Jeep breaks down in Moab and leaves you w/o transportation other than a mountain bike: Leave the rig at a mechanic, pedal over to Poison Spider Bicycles, and catch a shuttle to the top of Porcupine Rim. That's where I met Russell Facente, Sales Manager at Poison Spider Bicycles, who let me tag along w/him and his friends. I travel to ride as much as I can and if there's one thing I've learned about riding outside of your own backyard it's this: Follow a local down a trail they've ridden countless times and you'll find yourself taking lines you would have never seen on your own. This holds especially true on The Whole Enchilada where options are abundant throughout every one of the 20+ miles of trail. This is a photo of Russ descending The Notch. "Rob and I went out one cold winter morning and did a quick rake and I shot 6 photos with six different lenses. To me, that is how I learn and it's fun learning when you have a good friend like Rob who charges and never stops smiling. Roll on Reggie." Image by Brad Andrew. @TheR: I think it's gotten harder over the years. Granted I've only seen it as of 4 years ago, but this past season it looked even harder. Maybe I'm getting older.
Brought this up before, but wanting to buy prints of some of the photos. Basic answer is to contact the photographer and request info on getting a higher resolution version. If Pinkbike had a payment system setup where people could pay the Photographer's for high resolution files and/or prints they could make some good money.
@mikeyspaff: If it's something readily available, that you can lift off the web, no. If you're requesting a high-red photo from a professional photographer, then it's only fair that it's up to him, don't you think?
PB should consider having access to high-res photos as a feature of their "Plus" membership. That would honestly probably make me and others go for it.
I will probably get down voted to all high hell for this statement but The Whole Enchilada is really a very overrated trail. If you take away the view it's kind of boring trail. Not enough flow. Just my opinion.
