The 2010 season is over; the cold weather has blown in & snow is starting to fall, a sign of another long winter in Ireland. If you were to wait on the weather, you would never get anything done. So, Daniel & Gerard got out in the muddy, frozen conditions with Ronan ‘Flexo’ Kavanagh, for some filming. Flexo, a graphic designer by trade, begun filming the Irish Downhill Series this year & is becoming a dab hand at it.
The big Volkswagen Crafter was packed to the roof with filming equipment & bikes for a few days of filming. Shots were taken in the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain’s. In Dublin, the guys where faced with strong winds, frozen ground & blue skies.
In Wicklow, they were faced with a fresh muddy track, which was prefect for some sketchy moments.
Current Irish Downhill National Champion, Daniel Wolfe, showed how it’s done, shredding the wet conditions on dry tires. On the other hand, the fresh graduate, Gerard Wolfe, showed how to shred a part of pants when caught by an unexpected cross wind in mid-flight!
The Wolfe Brothers will be competing in the Irish & British National Downhill Series, along with the IXS European cup series & selected World Cup events.
Gerard will be competing in the New Zealand Downhill Series in January, were he will prepare for the 2011 season.
