no sh*t! be a shame to get mud or somthing on em
  • 11 3
 fuckin snazzy
  • 4 3
 Well put.
  • 4 2
Already on my second set, my low BB Demo ate the first pair. Very weight weenie friendly however! And stop bitching about the price, these are handmade in the US with the best tooling and materials available. If you cant afford them shut up and go buy some mass produced, rebranded Tawian piece of shit pedals.

pedals for pros and pimps. My pedals cost £12 and have been given a beating for over a year now. why spend that much on pedals? fair play if your pro and get them for free but buying them is insanity. every ride you'll be like...oh can do that, might scratch em. check these out www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5207

Dear bike industry: They are called colors. Not Colorways. Thank-you, that is all.
  • 1 2
you might want to address the MX industry too since theyve been using it for years as well as plenty of other industries. i do agree though, it is stupid
  • 2 2
I have run these for most of this season. The platform is great, very flat and stable. Ergonomically great and with 510's almost too much. The axles don't rotate well, may be some kind of design flaw, buddy thought they were bent it was so bad, not bent, just odd. To trim those pins down file them down 1-2mm which still leaves enough grip. Or buy set screws from a hardware store. Thanks to Jadyn for the advice !!! Shipping with those shin killer pins sense pointless to me. They work out at a dollar a gram, is it worth the price ? Well I'm unsure how many other ways there are to drop half a pound off your bike when you've done everything else there is.

Will they last ? Not if you ride hard. With a low BB dh race bike these things get smashed up on rocks, just like any other pedal. So, don't expect them to look all pretty like the pix. so take a photo when you install them then go and rip hard because they aren't going to stay like that. As for the personalized engraving yeah yeah very pretty but they will wear off. Assuming you ride the bike.

Expensive, light, comfortable, grippy, strong, etc. Your call if you think they are worth the extra.
  • 2 1
The axle rotation or lack there of is an issue that we've encountered on ALL pedals that are using some form of bushing as opposed to a bearing. The restriction found in bushings makes them more stable (less likely to spin under foot in the rough), but also not ideal for AM or SC style bikes where one is actually pedaling all day. For DH and DJ applications, bushing pedals are suffice.
  • 1 1
Thanks Ty that totally makes sense for DH.
  • 1 1
i ride these pedals people, its far from just bling ok, these are by far the best performing pedals ive ever set my eyes on, theyre light, grippier(not sure if thats a word) than any pedals ive ever laid my eyes on, and theyre strong, bash them off rocks all day, i dare you.
  • 2 1
you deffinatly cant bash them off rocks all day, they will break there is no question about this and I speak with first hand expirence.
  • 1 1
There are lot pf people worried about their shins - the fact is that you get pedal bites when your foot slips off the pedal - so if your foot never slips, you won't get any pedal bites. And it looks like your foot won't slip off these badboys, especially with 5.10s. The most pedal bites I ever got was with clipless - now I run 5.10s and Fly Bikes Rubens I can't remember the last pedal bite - years and years ago.
  • 1 1
OK again....you file down the pins or buy set screws from a hardware store. Jeez you guys really make life complicated. I guarantee if you make such a fuss and make life so complicated for yourself you will end up being a homeless fail selling their body for crack hits. Sheesh.
  • 1 1
i have Gold Hope Hubs, Gold Straightline levers, seat post Gold Quick release, Gold flames on my Fire Eye Seat, and custom Silver and Gold Flames [ my own work ] on my Silver Grey Bottle Rocket and...I WANT A SET OF THESE! Yep, their whacked out on the price and the money could feed a starving family of Ethiopians for a year - so i'll send off a cheque to a charity and then get me a pair...
  • 3 2
those pedals look so good. does any one have a link that i can buy them from. Over here in australia they are like 500 for the ti ones.
  • 1 1
they are nice, except for the price, and the fact that if they touch your shin you will probably need stitches, and the pins break very easily and replacement pins are very pricey.
  • 5 4
its not about the bits. its about ridin. i think they look crap and over priced. jokermachine. lol props dude.
  • 2 1
These are the best pedals on the market- Period - and the customer service is bar none
  • 1 1
guys if you are in the UK, Twenty6 is supplied though the guys at FLi Distribution:

www.flidistribution.co.uk/cgi-bin/index_TEMP.cgi
  • 1 1
could these go on a bmx? i probably wouldnt though because of the massive price tag considering the amount of pedals i have broken now...
  • 1 2
 I run em on mine.
  • 2 4
I don't really understand why everyone likes the aesthetics of these pedals. I'm sure the construction quality is bar-none, but aesthetically, they make me want to throw-up. And I'm not just talking about the ridiculous gold/red colour combo. Even the shapes/contours of the pedal are unappealing.
  • 2 3
Theses are function over form, every possiable ounce has been milled out of the body for max weight savings. Sorry you dont like how the "look"
  • 3 1
Oh, I understand the goal of function over form, and am in full agreement that function is first priorty. My comment was only questioning why other people think the pedals look so sexy, when, in my humble opinion, they does not. It simply has too much "bling", making it visually unappealing. But then again, this opinion is also coming from the guy who despises stuff like the pyjama/clown suit riding gear put out by companies like TLD and Fox, so obviously, each to his own, and take my opinions with a grain of salt.
  • 3 3
I was looking into these puppies, almost bought a pair, and then decided to support Straitline 'cause they're Canadian, and they're dope.

  • 2 1
Thanks man, I mean I don't know why anyone would want a nicely color-coordinated bike, just to put these on there to stand out like a sore-eye! I sure wouldn't!

Plus with how thin those are... how many snaps does their warrenty cover...? Rolleyes
  • 1 1

  • 4 5
 lighten up dude.
  • 7 9
mann its alright to accept your jealousy. were here to comfort you
  • 15 9
 Re: "Lighten up"

I'm merely saying what I think. Apparently you live in some freakazoid Nazi Disneyland world where nobody is allowed to have a negative opinion of anything?

Re: "jealousy"

Common sense and pragmatism does not equal jealousy. Maybe I'm missing something, but there are pedals out there that do the job, look great, and cost half as much as these. Maybe even less than that. More expensive does not equal better, except to people who can't see past image and have money falling out of their ass.
  • 7 7
im not going to get in with it with you because your obviously always right. Enjoy life
  • 4 5
 Peace man
  • 2 2

Sickest pedals and i'm sure the grip is great, but i would hate to see what it would do to your shin after one slip of the pedals. Those spikes used besides pins are nasty.

  • 3 2
well thats shitty for him... i have had mine for 6 months and they are one of the best pedals i have ever had on my bike. grip to your shoes like none other, pins are just sharp as fuck. but id highly reconmend these, worth the money for sure
  • 4 2
doubt it im sure you could find a pedal thats as good as these without the ridiculous price tag
  • 3 2
Piltz, What part did your friend break? A pin is a lot less sever then say an axle, please explain your comment.

Oli - you are correct, lots of great pedals, just like cars. You can't afford a set, that is fine, but others out there can and do like them.
  • 1 1
 where can u buy them
  • 1 1
fanatikbike.com/product/10-twenty6-prerunner-ti-axle-6656.htm hope this helps... when seraching make sure you put prerunners as one word otherwise it will come up with a load of forum stuff haha
  • 2 3
Overpriced, and after a ride.. they will get dirty easily (holes).
  • 3 1
Boo hoo my pedals got dirty...seriously ? It's mountain biking.
  • 1 1
yea but when you are paying extra for all this special milling with holes that are just going to fill up with mud and cut the weight savings. Especially living on the NS where you WILL fill up all the holes with mud within the first minute of riding.
