Field Test: 2021 Commencal Meta Power - The Aluminum Sledge Hammer
@withdignityifnotalacrity: 100%. I took a orbea rise out last weekend in Squamish and was blown away at how un-e bike’ish it was. Super poppy. Super quick. Easy to toss around and only 3-4 lbs heavier than most analog enduro bikes. After demo’ing a full power, full fat kenevo, I can’t say I’d want anymore power than the Rise. It had more than enough and still felt like a normal bike. Kinda disappointed we haven’t seen more brands jump on this platform. I’d love to see what Santa Cruz could come up with along the same lines.

Video: Full Highlights from EWS-E Crans-Montana 2021
The uphills in these races is such a great measuring stick for what systems are actually engineered for sustainable abuse. It should be interesting to watch how this category of racing pushes the engineers to keep levelling up. After having a friend let me confiscate his kenevo for a week this summer, it was such a eye opener into what new challenges come with riding e bikes. It made me look at trails completely different. Growing up riding moto I always found the steep and gnarly climbs to be the most fun. I found e bikes can definitely have that same level of fun factor on climbing routes I wouldn’t even think of attempting on a normal trail bike. Also - it’s funny reading the comments coming from people that have never ridden e bikes and their only motive is to maintain the “core riders” perspective to slander them. Pretty childish

'I Feel Like We've Been Dragged Into the Black Hole' - What's Next for Afghanistan's Mountain Bikers?
Anyone that’s criticizing Pink Bike for humanizing this tragedy under the umbrella of the global mountain biking community is very far off the mark. It’s stories like these that bring more people into experiencing empathy and compassion for a issue that they may have previously dismissed due to the interpretations of stories and current events that been portrayed through certain agendas and the lenses of tunnel vision, default sources of “news”. This is good journalism and I applaud pb for publishing this.
