Mar 14, 2024Santa Cruz Tallboy Aluminum
$1300 USD2020 Tallboy Aluminum. Well used but maintained. Strongly prefer “local pickup” meaning I can deliver anywhere from Mendocino County to the Bay Area and Sacramento. This is mostly so you can inspect in person and make sure the condition is to your liking but I will ship via bike flights if needed.
Frame: 2020 Tallboy Al size XL with Cascade Link
Shock: stock DPS performance
Fork: gen 1 Cane Creek Helm set to 150mm but easily adjustable
Wheels: DT Swiss 350 centerlock to Arc25 rims. Rear rim probably needs to be replaced soon, I’ve been having to true it every few rides.
Brakes: XT M8020 (older four pistons)
Drivetrain: GX Eagle with NX shifter and wolftooth stainless steel 28t chainring. Can include stock unused ring too.
Post: oneup 200mm with wolftooth lever
Misc: Chris King headset, burgtec axle, pretty new cascade components grips, spank bars and stem. Will also include stock link. Maxxgrip exo DHR front and maxterra exo+ dissector, both with about 10 rides.
Just replaced some of the bearings but most were spinning great. Fork could use a service but did just flush the oil.
Will sell as frame/shock only for 600, see other listing. Or frame/fork + wheels… just let me know.

Review: 2024 Norco Sight - For All the Mountains
It doesn't seem like there's any real reason for the Sight frame to be heavier than the Optic, right? So the difference would be down to parts spec. For how much fancier the Optic's parts spec is than this Sight (XO Transmission, carbon wheels) and the air shock + 34 instead of coil + 36, I am surprised the weight difference is still only 2 pounds.

Checking In On San Util's Whirlpool Hip Pack & The Process Behind Development
Great interview and I love the commitment to providing living wages, something in short supply in most small towns, resort or otherwise.
