I headed down to Revolution Bike Park in the Autumn sunshine last week and met up with Burgtec boss man, Dave Barton, along with style king Josh Bryceland and the Peak Districts finest exports, Matt and Sam (Dave, Derv or Swervid) Hockenhull. Lucky for us, Revolution had not long opened their brand new track 'Rev It' and the boys couldn't wait to get tyres to dirt. Hit play and let #TeamBadHairCut entertain.

Best thing to come out of Buxton these two. Seemingly coming out of nowhere and willingly sending big tricks off almost any lip. I think people should continue to expect big things from these lads.

Rat was yelling and screaming most of the way down each run the boys did, grinning ear to ear all the way back up the push up, too. This kind of track is most definitely his jam.

If you don't know who Cody is, well you do now. The Hockenhull Brothers' dog and he's their shadow.. and probably the coolest trail dog I've ever seen. Go follow him on Instagram, you won't be disappointed.

Matt sends it super sideways straight out of the fastest corner on the track. He may be the older out of the two brothers (gets called Baldy a lot) but he's certainly no slouch.

A pristine track crafted by both hand and machine for three weeks. Not too big that it's scary, but it flows and it works, and is thoroughly enjoyed by Rat and Co. These two are the culprits, James Foster and David Jenkinson. Absolutely phenomenal work.

All the shapes Images for Burgtec Revvin It feature. Image by Dave Barton. www.burgtec.com www.facebook.com caldwellvisuals

Insane shapes all day.. at the beginning of the day, Dave couldn't superman and had never tried it. Guess what, he can now.

Matt tries to spot his landing but quickly realises he's going to land at the foot of a slate filled wall.

Josh pulled out the fluorescent rainbow bike for this day. Catches the eye a treat, so easy to film. The ginger mullet completes one hell of a look he's got going on.

Superman followed by a 3. Images for Burgtec Revvin It feature. Image by Dave Barton. www.burgtec.com www.facebook.com caldwellvisuals

The 3 and Superman train. On trail bikes, in Wales. Pretty bloody cool.

Endless trains flowing through the Welsh woodlands. Accompanied by the soundtrack of cutties and stoke. You should probably go and ride this track.

The hardware, Cheshire born and bred. Proper good stuff.

Those berms should be in a glass display cabinet, perfect.

We're going this weekend for the first time. I'd love to hit this line and pretend I'm this stylish but in reality I fear for the damage my repeated casing would do to those finely sculpted landings.

Watching the vid's everyone (inc' us!) thought "wow, that looks like a nice easy jump line"....it's not at all, it's well hard just to ride let alone ride with any style.

 Awesome riding. Terrible Haircuts.

Tree hug face plant to trail dog face lick is always the best way to crash!!

These three guys have the best style to watch. Makes me feel sick but in a good way like when I've just eaten a big share bag of cadburys buttons.

Great vid, cool style and serious skills. Haven't been here before but am going early October - hoping to hit this line and survive! I can't jump but won't be doing any tricks just getting some air, I can rail berms though. Has anyone ridden it, do you think I'd be able for a few laps and hit some gaps?
  • 5 0
Sorry mate but fuck no. This is a pro line and there's no way you can clear those jumps of you can't jump in the beginning. Video doesn't do it justice
  • 1 1
@mollow: Thanks, have you ridden it, are they pretty steep lips? I reckon I'll keep it simple and not go mad. I can do tiny jumps, like on Crank it Up in Whistler I've gotten both wheels in the air, at the same time. But A-Line was a leap too far-literally! That said fortune favours the brave, think I'll just try and keep off the brakes!

@IrishTom: hahaha I like your attitude! I've ridden it yeah and it's more like something in between dirt merchant and crabapple, nothing like crank it up. The lips are quite steep indeed, wait until you get there and see for yourself. If you're feeling capable, JUST SEND IT!!!

Very disappointed at how much extension they're able to get on relatively small jumps...that's another excuse out of the window.

This was the best MTB soundtrack I've heard in a while! Bringing it way back with the American Hardcore! I love it!!!

That dog got more air time bouncing around than any rider in this vid.

@ollyforster: prove it. he hasnt had enve stickers on his rims for quite a while now, according to his instagram. why? yes, they say 50/01 and merge, but definitely do not say enve. if they are enve, he's obviously not supporting them anymore or they are not supporting him.

@jaycubzz: The real question is, why do you care?
  • 1 0
@jamieSaunders: why do you care if I care?
  • 1 0
Total guess here, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the Santa Cruz carbon reserve wheels.

Anyone know if josh's rainbo bike is a 5010 or a Bronson?
  • 1 0
I just feel love for this!
  • 1 2
Seeing the buzz around Sam Hill and the Nukeproof Mega, I wonder if Santa Cruz asked Josh to try qualify for the world champs?
  • 3 0
Sam raced the Fort William WC in order to qualify for World Champs and get on the Aussie team. I think the only DH race Josh did all year was Crankworx in Whistler, which I don't believe is a UCI points event.
  • 3 0
@IanJF: IMO Josh could have raced a UCI DH, like Sam did, so he could ride the Champs. Would have been interested to see RatBoys times on the 5010 compared to the V10s.

Man.. they make jumps like these look so easy.
