The
Northstar Enduro's second day proved especially challenging both physically and mentally, upping the ante for racers already drained from three gnarly stages and their accompanying transfers the day before. Racers tackled tracks that included everything from lung burning pedally sections to burly rock gardens. The all-new Stage 4 (Tahoe Trail/Sinuous/Karpiel/Dog Bone) added an extra level of gnar to the race and put even the best talent to the test.
Despite some serious competition, Marco Osborne (Cannondale/WTB) maintained the lead for Pro Men, as did Carolin Gehrig (Ibis) for Pro Women.
The sold-out two-day race presented by
Northstar California is the second round of the California Enduro Series
Golden Tour. It is also an EWS qualifier and round 6 of the
IMBA National Enduro Series.
