There was a lot of buzz around The Palmer Project Junior Team. Specifically the bike that Shaun Palmer brought out. It was a one-off that was simply beautiful.
Palmer poses with the one-off alloy Socom, boasting 6" travel and utilising the same VPP linkage layout as the bigger M16 DH bike.
As you can see, this is a completely new bike that looks like a mash up between Intense's Uzzi and M16 platforms.
Its always great to see Palmer riding was out on Friday Practicing with the Junior Riders of his Palmer Project team practicing on this bike. He will race it Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how the one-off prototype does.
The Palmer Project - Shaun Palmer's development team with Intense Cycles - has a lot of young talent, such as Warren Kniss seen here riding the prototype at Fontana.
Any word on the head angle and seat angle? Is he running 160 up front? It was a great showing by the Intense team yesterday. All told, for all categories running the pro track, it seemed about 20-25% were on Intense bikes, with many M9s in the mix.
