2016 will mark a new chapter for BCES, many events will be tied into destination bike festivals, giving riders an unforgettable experience. Races next year will feature more prizes, new categories. Certain locations will also receive Elite Enduro Stages, these stages are the rowdiest descents we could find and will take the spot of our 'prologue' from last summer.  Dear Megan and the Enduro crew...Thank you for having the vision to put on these 2 series. I can't wait to see how you expand on your already successful mission of providing a fantastic rider experience. Here's to more Enduro'ing in 2016! Bravo!

You guys aren't married with young kids I gather.
  • 1 0
I have 4 kids hahaha! Fortunately my mother and wife don't care about mothers day. Woot!
  • 2 0
I have 2 kids! My wife encourages racing as it keeps grumpy dad away.
  • 2 0
Will your mother/wife disown/divorce you if you go?
Probably not.
...
So go.

 No Island stop?
  • 2 0
The Island and Sea to Sky regions have a lot of their own events/series on the go, but this is only the 3rd season coming up, so they are trying to move all over each year.

 Hmmm, no moose? No fernie?
  • 5 0
I love moose and ride there alot. But personally would prefer to race at a non-shuttle spot.
  • 8 0
yeah surprised fernies not there, was one of the best ones
  • 3 1
definitely bummed, Moose and Fernie were the 2 races I was keen to race this year. And before someone tells me to try something new, I’ve ridden at every location they will be racing this year. I was just keen to race fun trails closer to home.

Revy could be a good one though.

Aside from Revelstoke and Retallack Fernie is the best location we've raced. The trails are top notch fun and well built. Better built than most everywhere we've been so far. I hope the Fernie Trail Assosiation can manage to put on another independent race this season. Im actually from Kimberley and I'm more let down by not racing Fernie than I am about Kimberley.

 Revy all day.

 Revy is back!!! Kamloops!!!
  • 3 0
FYI, there is no "town of Crowsnet" (just in case anyone is searching for it), Crowsnest pass is the area, most of the trails in last years race were around Coleman and Blairmore.
  • 3 0
I can't wait to race there again. Really looking forward to Revy and Golden too! Just to clarify, there is a town of Crowsnest Pass, it includes the old towns of Blairmore, Coleman, Bellevue, Frank, and Hillcrest. They all became one in the 70's.
  • 2 0
#NMK187, I've driven through all the towns about at least 100 times and had no idea they all make up one big town. Thanks for clueing that up. And yes, the trails there are amazing!
  • 5 1

Nice! Good luck! I even got some extra motivation! My wife just bought me a new Knolly Warden frame for Christmas - yes it's an early present. That'll help in the pedalling department... now just need to get in better shape :/
  • 2 1
Let's hope we survive at least the first race
  • 1 0

There was an enduro at vedder this year part of the FVMBA Trailblazer Series and the trails are super sick. Not really too much pedalling but it depends what the stages are.

  • 2 1
the crowsnest,, ahhhhhhh we had better get our builders and shit togethere by then ..... hmmmmmmm damn that means more beer drinking and trail building...
  • 2 0
When were you there last? The riding is great, especially in York Creek, and the local bike club and trail builders have been absolutely killing it with the new trails both there and on the ski hill over the past 3 or 4 years. The Rumhead bike festival and Enduro have been big draws the past two years. Can't wait to race there again.
  • 2 1
