See Revelstoke // Revelstoke, BC
By Ted Morton

Revelstoke, BC is an outdoor recreation paradise. You name it, they have it. They even have some of the worlds best coffee and beer shops in this relatively small town of 7,230 people. This past weekend Revelstoke hosted the first ever Enduro World Series North American event in Canada. It was organized by the Canadian Enduro Series in partnership with Tourism Revelstoke, Revelstoke Cycling Association, Mountain Biking BC and Revelstoke Mountain Resort. A true partnership as highlighted by this effervescent community.

The Community. This is really what separates Revelstoke from any other destination; the trail club here is super strong and they've really taken a 10,000 foot view of their master planning. You can see this when you ride here, there is every type of trail experience. You have high-alpine ridge rides like Keystone, flowy blue jump trails in the MacPherson network, steep-tech-gnar on Boulder mountain, helicopter biking on Mt. Cartier and then BC's newest bike park at Revelstoke Mountain Resort (opening this year).

With the recent explosion of everything 'enduro', it's been an interesting ride to see how this transition has helped shape the riding experience and the ever expanding networks that the Revelstoke Cycling Association manages. For this event every racer was asked to become a member of the Revelstoke Cycling Association garnering approximately $10,400 in membership revenue for the RCA! If you'd like to donate or become a member of the RCA, you can do that here.

Revelstoke holds a place in many peoples heart. It truly is about the 'place' once you come here you never, ever, want to leve.

Spent a week riding and enjoying Revie it is a jewel, for sure. Easy place to enjoy yourself. An easy place to touch alpine riding.

Was lucky enough to call Revy home for a year and a half. Great town!

Revy is right up there with anything I've ridden in BC and the PNW. Especially in the high alpine stakes. Keystone Basin and the Frisby to the Floor (Frisby Ridge, the connector and the steep downhill down to the valley floor) rides were unreal and I know there is more. Macpherson could have more but TNT was a favourite of mine, especially for mere mortals.

Sure, if you aren't shuttling Boulder it can be quite a chore to lap the logging road but the trails off the top are pretty damn sweet. Boondocker is a decent challenge and Logging Leftovers is a high speed riot.

You betcha REVY!
