Welcome to Round #1 of the 2022 Norco Canadian Enduro Series presented by Leatt. It's been a long winter, but we are stoked to be back at the races. 2022 marks the beginning of a new era for the Norco Canadian Enduro Series - more races, new locations, new trails, and so much more! 2022 will be a race season like no other.

Race Preview

It was only right the 2022 season kicked off in Kamloops. Undoubtedly, the Harper Mountain trails are the highlight every year for many riders, and this year will likely be no different. Six classic stages split across two days, and don't forget the Saturday night dual slalom! 2019 was the last time the series visited the Harper Mountain trails; check out the event recap video below and get and get ready for another epic weekend!

The Course

The weekend will consist of 6 stages split across the two days. Saturday will see riders tackle stages 1 and 2, while stages 3, 4, 5, and 6 will take place on Sunday. With this schedule, riders have limited practice time on Saturday, bringing back an element of blind racing. Racers will have to pick and choose which stages they want to practice in the limited time available.

Stage 1 will take riders from the very top of the Ski resort down Unicorn DH and Tea Time to the midpoint of the hill. Then, after a relatively easy climb up to Stage 2, riders will tackle Nates Upper, a 1.3km stage full of epicness!

Sunday starts with a leisurely cruise to the start of Stage 3, which takes riders right to the bottom of the hill, setting them up for a monster climb right back to the top for Stage 4. At 5.5km, stage 4 is the longest of the weekend and again takes riders through some flowing single track right back to the bottom of the hill, only for them to have to climb right back up again. The spirit of enduro is alive and well! Stage 5, Easy Rider, is a fun and very fast trail, and at under 1km in length, it becomes an all-out sprint! We saved the best for last; the slalom grass turns! Stage 6.

We're incredibly lucky to have access to these great trails and love it when our riders show their support of the trails by donating to the local mountain bike association. This goes a huge way to helping ensure these trails are here and maintained for many years to come!

A huge thank you has to go out to the Kamloops Performance Cycling Center for their tireless work getting the trails ready for summer. KPCC is a non-profit, volunteer-run club that takes care of all of the amazing trails that Harper and Kamloops have to offer. As a series, we know how much of a toll an event can take on the trails, and to help remedy that, we will be donating $5000 back to the Kamloops Performance Cycling Center to help support them in trail maintenance.

Just FYI to the organizers. Looks like course trailforks info was copied over from 2019. Dill Tho and Cadence are old trail names. The official name is T.E.A. Time. That's what trailforks and the official signs on the mountain say. Might be confusing to those from out of town.
