Underground Bike Race #1
Underground Bike Race #1 was held in Calgary on June 27th.
The idea is basically 1 on 1 elimination sprints held in a creative venue, around a technical course that should balance a riders ability to pin a line and ability to sprint.
The first race was on road bikes in the Silver Springs Community Rink.It speaks volumes that I (Alex Lyon) can have so much fun riding a bike in circles.
after some vigorous TTs, Oliver and I did a few 1v1 sprints, he claims he won overall since we did say all or nothing on the last one... it came right down to the line, but I just couldn't catch him

in the end, a good time was had by all and you should come next time. I might even wear clothing so as not to look like a total freak... but then again, why else wear spandex then to stand out and make other people uncomfortable?
