You can use the excuse that everyone was doping then but he did actively try to persue, bully and decimate anyone who tried to expose the truth. This demonstrates the type of human character he has. If he cared so much about his charities he would have stopped dragging them down with him in his lie. He's arguably done more damage to these charities then good.
I can't believe that some people still think of him as awesome.
