In one of the classic "how did that happen?" moments, I realised that this summer marked 15 years of Cotic. To celebrate, we've put together a history of our little company and we are all so chuffed with the result.

Cotic SolarisMAX
Our most recent hardtail... the limited edition titanium SodaMAX

From selling Souls out of my garage, to two premises, 7 staff and 11 bikes in the range, a lot has happened over that time. It's been brilliant.

Steel is Real team
Here's some of the team at a public demo. I'm on the right (your right).

Our base is in the heart of the Peak District in the UK: Here we do design, development, demos, sales, shipping, but best of all is the test riding on the local trails.

A huge thank you to anyone and everyone who has bought a Cotic, helped us out, been along for the ride with us. We owe all this to you.

Thanks,
Cy

Congrats Cy and all at Cotic! Even though I never actually bought a frame from you, I always loved what you're doing. And glad to see you're loving it too!

Same here. Never bought anything but the orange Soul is one of the most iconic hardtails ever made. At least to me. Right now things went super long with gigantic forks, numbing what HT riding really is about: chaos. Experience and management of chaos.

Cotic FTW

@WAKIdesigns: “Experience and management of chaos.” Insightful little gems like this, is why you’re one of the best when you’re on your game.

I actually bought, just finishing a build of solaris max. Looking forward ....

I'm sure I'll be beaten but I'll go for the superfan prize. Owned, Soul mk1 (in small because everyone who preferred the dhs had shorter bikes back then), X, Hemlock, X (first was stolen), Roadrat (still owned), FlareMAX mk2 (in large because everyone who prefers the dhs has longer bikes, still owned). Ace company to deal with and fun bikes.

 Congratulations on 15 years.

Excellent! Congratulations on the first fifteen :o)

My original Solaris still going strong. That bike has made me smile every single time I've been on it. Can't ask for more.

Best wishes to everyone at Cotic Bikes for 2019.

Muddy birthday Cotic!!!... and much respect to your brand. Your bikes have a soul Smile
And BTW: well done to Brits who still believe in steel and make exciting machines far away from the industry standards.
Cotic, Stanton, Starling, BTR Fabrication and such are my cup of tea ever if I prefer coffee.

Cheers from France and long life to you!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Means a lot that people appreciate the brand and are stoked on the bikes. Happy New Year!

Congrats guys. My mk1 Solaris was the best hardtail I’ve ever owned and is the only frame I’ve ever bought new. I got it during the end of the duckegg colour run and was horrified when i saw they had run out of mediums. I fired an email over and it turns out you had one spare due to a double order, the chap was super helpful and agreed to keep it stowed to one side for me til the end of the week when I was due to be paid. Whichever member of the team you were, thank you so much. Incredible customer service and amazing bikes.

Thanks Cotic team, bought my soul frame last boxing day and had the bike built for the 'Karapoti' race in NZ. Also taken it to the UK and done 'Rat Race the Crossing'. Super comfortable and competent bike for these kind of races and fun to tear around the trails on also. Great product support when I have e-mailed too.

Always wanted a Soda Titanium but was out of reach. Demo'd a rocket at northern grip but didn't get along with it. Now finally got a Bfe 26 And i love it!

 Wrong link for the soda-max.

It's pointing at www.cotic.com/product/sodaMAX
Should be www.cotic.co.uk/product/sodaMAX

.com vs .co.uk

I met and rode with Cy and some of the boys whilst riding in Finale Ligure earlier this year, great bunch of guys, sick bikes, cool company.

Had a soul (borrowed), BFe (bought), X (bought), hemlock (s/h).

Currently don't own any (circumstance) but all good bikes. Wish I still owned the X more than anything else.

I had all my bikes stolen a couple of months ago and the only one I really miss is the Cotic BfE. What a bike. Congrats on 15 great years.

We do XL in most models now and the reach is between 510 and 515 on those with Longshot geometry. How does that sound?

 @cotic-bikes:

Only SolarisMax. No Soul or BFE in XL.
