Video: Lando Steezy on the Nukeproof Megawatt
It’s kinda weird them using Shimano motors with Sram drivetrains .. you’d have thought Shimanos pricing at OEM would have been decent, combined with the same brand drivetrains … (just like 23’) ..but shock horror..
They’ve gotta claw some money back
So Sram it is.
Frame wise, looks very much like nothing has changed, apart from the bolt mount patterns being different ? Bad news for older model owners possibly (like myself)
Now go through the specs.. starting at the bottom, the comp. Uk RRP £5400.. with Microshift. 23’ model was £400 less, with full Deore 12spd.
Jump on the latest thing at your wallets peril maybe ?
One more thing.. the headline ;
“Lando steezy on the nukeproof megawatt”
So, like
Where’s the “new”
And where’s the “2024” bits ?
Mildly fascinating I guess
Nice looking bikes though. But aren’t they always ?

Race Analysis from the Lenzerheide DH World Cup 2023
Awesome race !! Mad to see Rachel blitz that. My 9year old boy was going mad for Jordan. He’s pumped for riding tomorrow!
Commentary was decent I thought

The Pinkbike Podcast: Shimano's Linkglide Drivetrain Tech Explained
Shimano Hyperglide debuted in 1989, not 86
86, I’m sure was Shimano Index shifting
1990 - Shimano STI - underbar shifters. Also promod as “piano touch”
On the subject of “touch”
87’ - the year I discovered my old man’s porno stash (which was much more exciting than Biopace)
Yes, that did distract me from my early days of mountain biking, but never more than a few minutes at a time

11 Innovative Products That Inspired Other Brands To Follow
Biggest ovbs to me is the Shimano SPD pedal. Circa 1990.. copied massively since
Next would be the Hite-rite .. (I’m sure that’s spelt right!) circa mid 80s.. modern version the Dropper post
Then Shimano Hyperglide. SO underrated.. copied by every component manufacturer going
(Troy Lee edge, still got mine, it’s date stamped inside July 1996. Flaming eyeballs n all)
Shimano SIS ..
