Sunday May 25th was a day that 67 racers and their families won't soon forget why XC #1 is called Mud N Mayhem!

The BlackSheep’s first XC race at their new venue, Kinsmen Park, was a classic BlackSheep race. The course opened with dry trail giving way to a new bridge into Centennial Park and more fast, dry trail. Little did the racers know of the unsuspecting mud pit that waited for them around a particularly fast corner…

Beyond the mud and racing, riders were also treated to BBQ and some fun games like bike limbo. No race report would be complete without thanking all the volunteers for their hard work, prepping the course, registration, timing, cooking, games marshalling and course take down. We would also like to thank our sponsors, without them we wouldn’t be able to provide you with Thunder Bay’s best race series!

OK, I live in ON, near the GTA, and other than the Centennial Park mention I have no clue from this article where the race was actually held, was it a one-off or part of a series and if a series when/where the next race will be. Our little piece of flat land doesn't get much exposure, when we do, do it proper! Smile

The last five words of the article should pretty much cover it "... Thunder Bay’s best race series"

Journalistic writing at its finest - put the most basic and important information in the very last line.

Glad i am not the only one that was slightly confused by the actual location of this race.
