What the Heck is a Down-Country Bike? - Opinion
@whambat: Hi, did the Scalpel ride a lot different when you made those changes? Doesn't moving the spacer make the B.B. higher? I'm thinking of doing it to my '14 Scalpel.

ha I was thinking the same thing, I run that combo for very dry (but often loose) So Cal conditions.

2014 Giant Trance 3 in size extra small. 650b (27.5) wheel size. 140mm travel 67 degree head angle. Great tires in excellent condition: Schwalbe Nobby Nic rear and Kenda Nevegal front (foldables). This bike was only ridden gently by my son on smooth dirt, and he's now too big for it. You can see in the pictures there are some cosmetic blemishes here and there.
