Interview with Szymon:

Hi Szymon, you're the first person in the world, to pull the cashroll on MTB with an additional trick. Can you describe this feeling?
It's awesome! I always wanted to create a part of MTB Freestyle history and it's happened. I'm even more stoked because nobody have ever pulled this combination on BMX. Small bikes used to be a step ahead of MTB all the time and now it changed!

What was your preparation for this spectacular performance? Did you practice a lot before you attempted this combination on the “hard ground”?
I've only trained for it a little. I landed it twice in the foam pit a while ago. Therefore, I was a little stressed when trying it on hard. Fortunately, everything was fine.

Are there any other tricks that you plan to combine with cashroll. On BMX there were a few variations. Have you got any idea what can be the next one?
I was wondering about trying it with a downside tailwhip, but I'm not sure whether it's even possible. Anyway, I'll give it a go and see what happens.

When will we see your brand new “secret weapon”?
Surely during the next competition! In August I'm flying to Canada to take part in Crankworx Whistler. I hope to find some nice jumps there to present big tricks in the Best Trick category.

Thanks for the conversation mate. Good luck in Whistler! We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Where's that BMX douche that was hating on MTB a few days ago. Would like his opinion on this haha
  • 9 0
Maybe hes been blown up badly LOL
  • 60 3
Or maybe his lack of helmet, brakes and suspension got him killed.
  • 15 1
He'd probably tell you he invented the suicide cash roll, but never even bothered to attempt it because it'd be so easy on a BMX. What a pioneer haha!
  • 13 0
He'd say its fake as there is no rap music in the background
  • 3 2
@lane-babcock: "Or maybe...", don't you mean "Or hopefully..."?
  • 1 0
I can't believe that at 34 you and your friend are being such douches haha! Besides, this happened like a week ago, no one really cares any more.
  • 2 0
Its also funny how you're slagging someone half your age... who has better grammar...
  • 1 0
Oh I don't care about it at all, I just think its funny that you're complaining about "teenage wisdom" when in comparison to you it really is wisdom.
  • 1 0
Please point out to me what ever it was told you I used Marzocchi?
  • 31 1
Double cash roll. Boom there it is.
  • 11 1
so would that be 180 backflip 360 backflip 180, or 540 double back 180??
  • 3 0
 Yes!.... I think?
  • 9 0
 cash roll bacon sandwich, yummy
  • 26 0
I remember when i backflip was impressive. Damn our sport is evolving so fast Smile
  • 4 0
the progression guys are getting is nuts!
  • 3 0
Its because they are actually using spiritual tactics to achieve these stunts none the less the Bikes that they are riding have been meditated into creation. but I say this to say "YOU AINT SEEN NOTHING YET" :-). as for me Im still stoked by "carbon" Fibber Bikes. thats pretty much a Bike Made out of thin Air ?Yet stronger than Steel? and Dudes making a living off Riding ? this is becoming dreamland :-) LOVE IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD
  • 20 0
All that and all he got was a golf clap?
  • 3 0
no one is pumped anymore. All haters now.
  • 17 0
 Do a barrel roll
  • 12 1
 Now do a barspin tailwhip
  • 9 0
 What's next cashroll tailwhip

How's about a frontie to cash roll?
Then I might be impressed.
  • 8 0
redcorn, that's impossible. At least I can't imagine two opposing rotations in one jump

i dont mean to be a dick about it because it is sick but that video is not a cash roll, its more of a 7 and its easy to see it
  • 14 0
Since when did a 7 involve going upside down?
  • 5 0
^since brandon semenuk hahah, his cork sevens are nuts. but in all seriousness, that was defs more of a cashroll than a 7. still not sure that everyone is doing the same thing when they cashroll.. so complicated ahah
  • 4 0
I was there at the hanger, or i walked in right as he went off the lip. it happened too fast to see what happened. Loupos used to ride scooters lol! Super chill guy. he did blow a foot off though...

No one caught the sarcasm on that "frontie to cash roll".
  • 9 0
@redcorn That's because its impossible to tell sarcasm when its written. just as impossible as a frontie to cash roll.
  • 6 1
in that woodward video he doesn't go fully upside down, its more of a dumped 720... but whats next, cliffhanger cashroll?

why aren't more of these tricks seen in the fmb tour, Semenuk's overated corked 720 gets the best scores at the moment
  • 1 1
I like to think of it as an early 180 into a flair if that makes sense. on skies Im pretty sure its a misty 720, which would also make sense if you try to look att it like one of semenuks 720s but flipping forward
  • 11 1
  • 2 1
bo Polska jest najlepsza w te klocki Big Grin
  • 7 0
Even in slow motion I have a hard time wrapping my brain around what these guys are doing on their bikes.
  • 5 0
So its a 360 on all three axis... im old dumb and confused. But it looks like he spun around turned around and flipped around... its hard to follow. By the time i can even understand a trick thier adding on to it
  • 12 5
Letting go of your bike at the end of a run is a dumb trend to follow.
  • 5 0
 Next is a superman cashroll
  • 5 0
i wonder if brandon semenuk can throw a bar into his dialed cork 7
  • 1 0
Jordie Lunn has started throwing x ups and tuck no handers into his so I would imagine Brandon Semenuk could.
  • 2 0
This is nuts, he only learnt this trick a few days before the red bull bergline, then landed one at that comp, then at adidas ride the sky, 26 trix and now ads a barspin, nuts.
  • 2 0
I can barely ride over a root without nutting myself and people are doing shit like this. I think they need to make an Arcade game similar to a Tony Hawk so us mortals can try things like that without having to call DEATH.
  • 1 0
Average trick i think sam Pilgrims windscreen wiper trick is better and well im sorry to all the bmxers but when someone in your chosen aspect of our sport lands a 75ft step down back flip and a 72ft canyon flip then you have the right to say your section is the golden standard
  • 3 0
 Szaman poniszczył. Propsy dla niego!!!!
  • 3 0
 Not bad.
  • 2 0
Wtf since when was it possible to pull tony hawk pro skater sized stuff
  • 2 0
 Excellent, now do a skid.
  • 2 0
 Hot damn
  • 1 0
*checks watch*... still waiting for a suicide cashroll...
  • 4 0
Mate the only way you'll get that is if you attempt suicide by trying to cash roll...
  • 1 0
 insane. too hype for joyride.
  • 1 0
Props to you man ! Awesome..
  • 1 0
personally, i have a request for you, what about Cashroll Nothing ?
  • 1 0
  • 1 0
 sickkkkk \m/
  • 1 0
 NIce work man!
  • 3 6
Pretty soon it's going to be: JUMP --> REMOVE FRONT WHEEL --> REINSTALL --> SMOOTH LANDING.. Then, REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 180.. and you know how it goes Smile By the way are there still world cup races?
  • 7 0
through axle would fuck you over soooo hard, or the awkward moment when you're fumbling to get the disc in between the pads
  • 2 0
 LOL, disc between pads...
  • 1 1
 very interesting
