I think you need to harden up a bit... No one gets into this sport at a high level without accepting a constant dose of minor injuries. Gwin races after getting a bunch of stitches in his knee the day before. If just some tape and a few stitches doesn't sound like a minor thing to you this might be the wrong place to look for "role models". And Laurie had elbow pads on, and Gwin knee pads, but it's WC downhill and sh*t happens when you crash.

If you put the spokes into the rocks in the upper rock garden they are going to get ripped out. Nothing to do with wheel size, just a rider off line a bit.

Hell in the Hills: Enduro World Series Round 5, Millau
Hahaha well you obviously have a theory as you are insuinatung and accusing things that are pretty silly. It's a podium photo with the three top riders filling the frame of the shot. It just so happens to frame it that way the bike is half in the photo half out. Nothing more nothing less. The Women's podium shot is wide and the men's tight, simply so we can post two different photos in these stories for the sake of variety, nothing more nothing less. Pretty basic concept here. Where's the Yeti commercial? I just see a shot of the defending works Champ high fiving his mechanic and having his bike worked on. He's depending two time works Champ and is always part of the story for that reason regardless of results. That's kind of how editorial works. Perhaps if Lapierre had a pit setup and didn't work out of a car on the far end of the carpark there might be a photos of Adrien's bike being worked on too just as there's one of Richie's and Damien Otons in this post. There are however two action shots of Daily and his entire bike is visable for you to look at (notice there is no action shot of Richie which you'd probably also try to call a Yeti commercial). We've featured winning bike shots of Adrien and his Lapierre at previous rounds so I'm still confused why you think we are deliberately not showing photos of his bike .... That's just nonsense. Perhaps you'd like to see the photo of Adrien handing his tire insert to an official after finishing with a flat on stage one, and then not getting a time penalty for outside assistance and discarding equipment like others have received this year... Would that be even better exposure for him and his bike? Yeah... That happened but he still gets to win ;-)

@EnduroManiac: I think you are overcomplicating some very very simple facts here, and bending them quite a bit to suit an agenda.

Enduro World Series Round 5, Millau - Full Highlights Video
@chyu: Rick also presents the Red Bull production of the world Cup DH that everyone loves. So he was double booked with the EWS and WC this weekend and Tracy stepped in to as a guest presenter. Top job done for sure. Rick does an awesome job and will be back the next ews round, and of course also fom Lenzerheide this coming weekend.

@MattStaggs: you'd be getting a lot of nothing ;-) He's just a grumpy guy who's burned a few too many bridges over the past few years with other photographers. And here you can see why.

Enduro World Series Round 5, Millau: Day 1 Photo Epic
@EnduroManiac: again, you are failing to understand that it was rain, nit local advantage that played a hand in NZ. The biggest issue in France was that there was only one practice run given at a venue that has seen multiple rounds as part of the French series. It's not about one being cool, or taking sides. You will always have some sort of local advantage, but that can and is usually negated with adequate practice. That's why there is rarely an issue. Had it not rained on the top 20 in NZ things would likely be quite different, local or not (on a side note Wyn Masters does not ride in Rotorua on purpose and is quite vocal about pointing that out when he won). And since the EWS had raced Rotorua in 2015 and used many of the same stages and trials everyone was familiar with it was again a non issue. In France this is not the case. If that makes no sense to you, or you fail to understand it then you have completely missed the point.

@Whipperman: and they were only faster because of the gift they got by racing the first stages in NZ before the rain came down. Local or not, in NZ the rain was he biggest/only factor. And in NZ everyone got a chance to practice. In France they only got one run on track crowded with amateurs and people pushing back up sections/in the way. Standing trackside during the race in tricky sections it was night and day between this who trained on the hill prior to the event and this who only got one run. You are trying to compare two different events and two very different circumstances.
