Rest in Peace: The Rise & Fall of Interbike
Plenty of fond memories of Interbike! Drooling over the new bikes and crazy concept versions. The Mountain bike action and Dirt magazine Interbike issues were a must. Now in a time of instant access and redbull racing coverage I won’t loose any sleep, but R.I.P Interbike!

Cross-Country World Cups Were Viewed by More People Than Downhill for the First Time in 2018
XC racing is great to watch. Warner and Bart are great commentary and engage with a lot of the riders. It gives a great insight to the race and riders, feels like I personally know some of them. Red Bull coverage is big part in the resurgence of XC. Since the 90’s coverage of XC might be a few minutes recap on Eurosport.

Making a Modern Bike Resemble a Retro Classic
Looks great! Dig the retro colour way. What was the bare frame like? Would love to get a aluminium frame and polish it kind of like the old GT’s etc

Review: SQlab 610 Ergolux Saddle
Bought a SQlab 16 deg handlebar 3 months ago, absolutely the best thing I’ve done to my bike. Used to get aches in my wrists and shoulders on long rides, now non existent. Next purchase will be a SQlab saddle.

Finished: Ask Us Anything With GT Bicycles
@GTBicycles: thanks for the reply! Good to see GT offer frame kits at a competitive price. The “new standards” seem to be slowing down now so it’s an easier option to upgrade your frame and keep your wheels, fork etc. Got a couple of said 90’s bikes (see my acc) Would love to see some high end aluminium frames made in the states again but that all comes down to what’s viable for the brand.

Finished: Ask Us Anything With GT Bicycles
Aluminium seems to be making a comeback as the preferred frame material. During the 90’s GT offered a frame only option of all their top/team model bikes, Zaskar, RTS, LTS etc. made of aluminium and hand made in the states. A boutique option from one of the biggest brands. With the popularity of aluminium frames and and the tariffs in place is there any consideration to build aluminium frames in the states again or offer aluminium frame only options? Personally I’d love a sensor in aluminium that I can customise with my own parts. The new bikes look great btw, nice work!
