We at Owl Vans love riding bikes and love helping our community even more! So in our effort to help our community we decided, along with our local fire department (Marin County Fire), to do a giveaway for a brand new custom painted Specialized Kenevo! We are aiming to raise money for the F.I.R.E. Foundry non profit charity.

The F.I.R.E. Foundry works with community partners, high schools, community colleges and Marin fire agencies to recruit young adults from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in fire-related careers and those from underfunded and underserved communities and leverage the rapidly growing demand for wildfire prevention work to provide a livable wage earn-while-learning pathway to a sustainable wage career.

This is a great way to possibly win an amazing bike and help an amazing cause. Let’s show our local community what our mountain bike community can do and really try to move the needle!

BIke is medium or large. (We have 2!)

You can see the specs of the bike here: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/kenevo-expert/p/184417/specs

All proceeds from this giveaway will be donated to the F.I.R.E. Foundry.

Can you post a link to the Fire Foundry IRS form 990?
Then people can review the detailed data about this non profit before they decide to donate
If you have a link to Guidestar data about F.I.R.E. Foundry that would be useful too.

Question. What do you think of EMTBs including a USB port (with a cover over it) for things like running stronger lights without an extra battery, charging your phone, updating firmware, or anything else that dentists would need to carry with them on the trails?

You'd get more donations if it were a stumpjumper. E-bikes suuuck.

@tidnes: Sick Bikes doesn't exist anymore. and people who ordered still didn't get their money back or the frame they wanted.

@kroozctrl: wait a minute can't you sue them

Not sure how else they could have said this but this is not how donating works. You don’t donate to win something, you donate just to donate.

It was an entirely reasonable question. Although I absolutely support what the Fire Foundry states as their mission, it is always fair to ask a charity what portion of the funds go towards the overhead and salaries of the charity's employees, as opposed to what portion goes to the recipients.
