Ranchstyle is a new addition to the FMB Tour for 2011 and will be debuting as a Silver level event. Ranchstyle epitomizes the grassroots movement in freeride mountain biking in the U.S.

The crew from Grassroots Cycles who organized and built the course for Ranchstyle, it has always been about the progression of the sport. What started as as backyard jump-jam has grown into one of the most anticipated events of the season. Each year the dedication of the Ranchstyle crew shows through in the consistent evolution of the event. Through the years the Ranchstyle’s evolution has been dramatic but the guys behind Ranchstyle have always kept the event close to its roots. “The weekend is all about riding, and bringing people together with a common thread,” said Matt Bollig.

The slopestyle course at Ranchstyle has been completely reworked for 2011 and all of the lines are hitting with authority! Ranchstyle has a reputation for shying away from the industry standard when it comes to course design. Course designer James Flatten utilizes The Ranch’s natural terrain to create the unique course with multiple line variations and over a dozen jumps/features. The level of competition is going to be insane this year with riders competing for $10,000 in prize money. With classes open for amateur, open, and pro athletes alike it is going to be a huge day of shredding. Aside from the slopestyle competition, Ranchstyle’s schedule includes a weekend packed with skills clinics, guided rides, shuttle service, the MRP Super Slalom and the Pinkbike Best Trick Throwdown.

This year Pinkbike and Ranchstyle are taking the best trick competition to the next level by letting you be the judge! The Pinkbike Best Trick Throwdown will be going off Friday evening and all Best Trick runs will be filmed and uploaded to Pinkbike.com Friday night. The voting will be opened up Friday evening and remain open until 6pm on Saturday the 7th. The winner of best trick will be announced at the podium ceremony following the slopestyle competition Saturday night! Don’t forget to cast your vote here!!!

The dust will have barely settled from the slopestyle competition when the gate begins to drop for the Mountain Racing Products (MRP) Super Slalom event on Sunday. Riders will be competing on one of the most intense slalom courses around, with Pro times nearing 50 seconds! This is a true mountain bikers slalom, no flags and no chalk. Just flowing trail ripping through the forest of cedars and pinyons.....Ranchstyle!

Registration for Ranchstyle is now open! For information on parking passes (required) athlete registration, and a complete schedule of events visit www.ranchstyle.co

See you here!

Did you see we get to vote online for the Pinkbike best trick? Probably be biased...but it's still cool though.

The event will not be broadcasted live unfortunately. We will have a video put together after the fact. The best trick will be filmed and then posted here on pinkbike for viewers like YOU jaketinnelly to decide the winner. No bias there.

Yeah but what if people vote for a particular rider and not for the trick?

I would hope this community of riders and users would be pretty critical. It was Pinkbikes idea. I think it will work good
