Echo Red2Red- A Race Through the Rolling Hills of Wine Country

Echo, Oregon has a lot of history being situated along the original Oregon Trail route.

Once a year, the sleepy town of Echo comes to life when the Echo Red2Red race is happening.

Usually a very quiet town, Echo becomes a bustling town with hundreds of cyclists coming out to race the Red2Red.

Race organizer Stephany Meyers give a quick briefing to racers before sending them out on course.

Local dealer Sherrell Chevrolet comes out every year to help with the neutral roll out start.

As soon as the racers turn onto Sno Road, the lead truck pulls aside and the speed really opens up.

All of the trails used for the Echo Red2Red are on private land, owned by the local winery, Sno Road Winery.

The trails are buff and fast, but don't get caught gazing off for too long while on the Cliffs Trail.

The Echo Red2Red utilizes the trails of Sno Road Winery, all of which is private land opened up for pubic use of the trails.

There is a lot of history here in Echo, Oregon.

The over under feature on the back end of the course makes for a fun ride.

The kind owners of Sno Road Winery graciously open up their land, allowing trails and racing to happen on their private land.

Kevin Bradford-Parish, followed by Nolan Brady hammer out the last few miles of the race.

Alec Pasqualina had a strong race finishing in 5th overall in the Elite Men's category.

"I totally nailed 9th place," said Tyler Fox after a hard fought day of racing.

The town comes out to support and help put on this awesome race.

The sleepy town of Echo comes to life once a year with the Echo Red2Red bike race. One of the local favorites, The Wheat and Barley Pub is always a great choice for amazing food.

High fives all around after a great day of racing in picture perfect weather for the last day of February.
