2017 Pinkbike Awards: Athlete of the Year Nominees
I have huge respect for both Hill and Ravanel, but to all of you saying that Hills achievement is greater because of that it is a different discipline than what he used to do the year before, Nino did the same but even better. Stick with me. What The nomination is missing is that Nino also won the ABSA Cape epic during 2017. Not only is it a marathon race, but a marathon stage race. That means 70-120 km each day for a week. XCM (marathon) and XCO may look similar, but they are about as similar as... downhill and enduro! Nino beat the worlds best XCM athletes like Lakata and Hubert on their home turf, only to go on and do the same with the XCO guys, in both the world cup and world champs. And that, is why my vote will go to Nino, not just because of pure dominance in XCO as per the nomination, but because he won on the highest level in two very different disciplines.

Formula's All-New Linea-G Gravity Wheels
20x110 Boost isn't the same as 20x110. The hub flange spacing and position of the rotor relative to the fork isn't the same, according to a pinkbike article yesterday.
