Sony VAIO Dirt Masters 4Bro - YES, WE CAN!

Kazoora is a place where for the past 10 years bikers get together to ride dirt jumps and the 4x track. For hundreds of teenagers this was the place where they first met the gravitational branch of biking, just like I did. Since then many bigger and smaller contests took place on Kazoora, and after each the amount of people jumping on our hill grew. The biggest motivator to push forward and improve our hill are kids saying that this is an awesome sport, that they want to jump and do tricks like the best and that they want to be the best, that people show up on the hill, they set up a picnic and they watch them “daredevils” in action, and that even older people say it’s amazing that we spend so much time building the track, spending time together. Without that hill, we probably would’ve separated, each in their own direction.

Dirt was not the only thing used while building, we also used wood

While looking at the hill, I have been thinking about organizing a big dirt jump contest on multiple lines where even the beginners would have a shot with the pros, for a long time. Also, the jumps would be big enough, so that the audience wouldn’t be able to look away. The idea grew and matured, and finally, the decision was made, that we’re ready. We would have failedif not for the support of people who are long bound to biking, and we found additional motivation by joining with the 4BRO charity action

The jumps were never this big on Polish contests

Being motivated that way, we began to work on DIRT MASTERS 4BRO Sony VAIO. Having plenty of experience in building dirt jump lines on other event, we decided that we will make the biggest line in Poland so far. The first jump in the Pro line was over 9m long (30ft+), with a 2.5m (8.5ft) kicker and a 4m (13ft) landing. It was massive! Having built that, we HAD to build a line for amateurs, parallel to the pro line. After building the track, we needed riders of all kinds, pro, amateur, hobby. Our friend, Lukasz Koper, gave a rang around the country and wrote to some foreign riders. After hearing about the event, they immediately said to appear. Now all we needed was a good after party. But that wasn’t a big deal since we left it to the 4BRO crew, who’s well renown around the country for massive parties.

A full report from the preparation, the event and the after party.

The event had 2 groups: Amateur and Pro, and the best 4 amateurs would go to the Pro section. The only amateur thing about the amateur group was the name. Guys to whom biking was a fun thing to do had no problems doing flips, tailwhips, or 360 variations. They didn’t fight for the first three 3 because the first 8 had Dartmoor sponsored prizes on them.
The show time began with the pros. They weren’t impressed with the size of the jump. In fact, some of them needed that big of a jump to show what they are really capable of. Here’s some of what happened on the pro line: 360 doublewhip, backflip doublewhip, frontflip nohander, and a 360 triple barspin. After the finals came the 30 minute AIRBIKE best trick jam. On this section Olav Langedrag Fjære of Norway dominated everyone with his backflip doublewhip and his winning trick, the triple tailwhip.

Szymon Godziek, superman on the big jump

After the event, we went to chill on the massive after party “Dirt After 4 Bro” in the “1500m” club. It was an amazing day with friends with a great finale and an awesome atmosphere. I’d like to thank everyone without whom this project would not come to life, friends with which I ride for years, the 4 BRO crew and the sponsors: Sony, Dartmoor bikes, Airbike, Anytown, Massive. Next year, we’re going even bigger.
