About the shoes:
These S-Phyre RC9 SPD-SL Shoes are part of an elite footwear range called S-PHYRE that matches Shimano’s ambition to create the most technologically advanced cycling solutions in the world, culminating in the pinnacle of road competition footwear.
The S-PHYRE concept has one goal: to maximise power transmission by delivering more performance and making the most efficient use of the connection points between the bike, the footwear, the movement of the rider and the rider’s muscles.
These RC9 shoes are the pinnacle of this concept, having been tested thoroughly by Team Giant-Alpecin, LottoNL-Jumbo and riders like Orica-BikeExchange’s Michael Matthews.
The one-piece outer is constructed from supple, stretch-resistant and highly breathable Teijin Avail microfibre synthetic leather, with perforated dimple vents to provide a glove-like fit.
The closing mechanism is handled by two independent Boa® IP1 dials with wire lacing to allow quick and precise micro-adjustments.

Jul 23, 2017Large Specialized Epic Expert Carbon [price drop]
$1325 CADHello! I'm selling my Specialized Epic Expert Carbon (large) as ride mostly road now. It's only been ridden a handful of times in the last three years and not much throughout it’s life. Everything is in excellent condition and working order.
There’s a good reason the Epic has essentially remained the same for years now – it’s a race-proven mountain goat that’ll net KOMs like it’s going out of style. I love the bike but, like I said, I just don’t ride MTB anymore (also, getting old).
Upgrades include: new Shimano SLX brakes and XT IceTech rotors and pads, new red Chromag Fubar handlebar and red aluminum pulley-wheels, shorter Cannodale stem, and Yeti grips. Room for quite a bit wider tires too, to bring it up to snuff! No big crashes and no damage beside the usual paint chips.
SPECS:
Shift Levers: SRAM X-9
Front Derailleur: Shimano SLX
Rear Derailleur: SRAM X-0 9-speed
Brakeset: Shimano SLX Ice-Tech
Handlebar: Chromag Fubar Acute Handlebar, 730mm, 25mm rise
Stem: Cannondale aluminum
Hubs: Front: Specialized Hi Lo disc; Rear: DT Swiss 370
Tires: Specialized S-Works Fast Trak LK, tubeless-ready, 26 x 2.0
Spoke Brand: DT Swiss Competition 1.8mm/1.6mm butted
Crankset and Bottom Bracket: Shimano M762
Cassette: Shimano HG-61 11-34t
Saddle: Specialized Phenom
I can include the original Avid Elixir R Carbon SL, hydraulic-disc brakes too. Crank Bros pedals extra.

Jul 22, 2017Killer Bundle: Tarmac Pro + 2 sets of wheels & extras!
$1750 CADBe still my beating heart as I am selling my beloved Tarmac Pro (56cm)! This bike has seen me through many great years of riding and has been well taken care of. It’s never been crashed and has been well kept with chain, cogs and cables replaced yearly and I’m the original owner (and previously a bike mechanic). Everything is in good working order.
It’s for good reason the Tarmac is the quintessential racing bike. It’s surprisingly supple for how stiff it is. This bike motors and can take you down a mountain pass (or Sydenham Rd) like nobody’s business. It’s a bike that is still exciting to ride, particular when it points downhill and into some turns! Makes for an awesome first (or second) road bike and could be raced if you're so inclined.
This model is almost entirely carbon including the handlebars, stem and seat-post. The post has a small elastomer insert for a bit of added comfort. The bars are super comfortable and have an aero/comfortable top, too. The crank was upgraded to an FSA SL-K under warranty so it’s lighter and stiffer than the original stock and the cables are upgraded to Jagwire.
All the info on the bike is below as well as the wheels and extras. Give me a shout if you'd like a test ride or to pick it up. I'm located in downtown Toronto around Bloor and Spadina and can also send more photos (or higher res) if you like, just ask!
What you get:
2 sets of wheels:
1. OCTTO “Professional Grade Racing Tubular Wheelset” kitted out with a 25c Continental Competition on the rear and brand new 25c Continental Sprinter up front. OCTTO QR skewers and pads.
2. Mavic Ksyrium Elite: Continental GP 4000 II and Attack tires. (red indoor trainer is seen in photo)
Extras
1. Two extra tubular tires > Veloflex and Vitorria tubulars
2. One Tufo Ultralight Tubular for the toolkit
3. One Extra set of cork brake pads.
4. Continental Force front tire, new never used.
5. Some extra bits and bobs like extra valve extenders and extra quick release skewer for a home trainer.
6. Extra Ultegra cogs: 11-30 on the OCTTO tubulars, 11-28 on the Mavics
7. I can throw in a set of Look Pedals (no cleats) too, if wanted.

Aug 13, 2016Deviance Apogee City/Commuter Rocket
$625 CADDevinci Apogee, 56 cm + extras / $625
This bike makes for one wicked and speedy commuter &/or courier bike or first road bike. It's light, equiped with mostly Ultegra and Dura-Ace parts (105 crank) and works flawlessly.
I have too many bikes and gotta pay off grad-school so it’s gotta go. This is one of the rare bikes that gets constant compliments for it's colour too, as it's pretty fun looking.
Carbon fork for comfort, aluminum frame, top-of-the-line parts and great wheels. Mechanic owned. The frame shows usage with typical paint chips and the odd sticker. Most components have approx 3-4 yrs. of use – it’s been in storage for years now as I was out of country and have a few other rides.. Great for training, weekend rides or touring; stiff and very neutral handling, good bar tape, newer back tire and wheel. Approx. 12000km on the frame, less on parts. No serious crashes but paint shows a slide-out or two.
BONUS: I'm happy to include a pair of Shimano SPD pedals (not shown), and an extra almost complete Ultegra 9-speed gruppo for future repairs.
Located in downtown Toronto.
