This is the 2017/18 Firebird 27.5 size large. The frame is knicked up as you would expect, I rode it a ton and have loved it. The frame is in perfect working condition, the front triangle looks very clean. The rear swingarm has some dings in the clear coat. In particular, Pivot's DW Link is a very snug fit on the main link and the frame gets rubbed on by debris. That part of the frame's clear coat has been rubbed off, I have never spent a second worrying about it as that is the thickest carbon on the frame. If you want to sweat it slap some nail polish on it and go rip! You can see in the pics I added All Mountain frame tape, it is covering some cosmetic scratches on the rear, but up front, it's just there for protection and because I think it looks cool. DVO Topaz rear shock ramps up better than FOX on this bike it is a better feel. Just replaced Enduro-max pivot bearings. Cane Creek Headset New Race Face bottom bracket 2018 Fox 36 Kashima Fit 4 Damper fork/170mm travel - some scratches and no decals, works great. If you don't want fork then make me an offer.

The fork is about 4 months old, it works perfectly. I am switching to a 29" bike or this would be transferring to the new machine. No dings, a couple of superficial scratches at most. This fork is the best, you know that and why you are reading this eh! Steer is still long, cut to 200mm. I am moving to 29 so you get my fav wheels of all time. Rims have at best some scrub marks, otherwise, they are perfect and straight as a razor. I used the no questions asked warranty to replace the rear wheel a few months ago. I bashed it into a rock after getting flat and had a non-structural ding in the rim, they sent me a whole new wheel! The secret to these wheels is the straight pull hubs, harsh impacts will drive the spokes through the hub flange rather than crush the rim. Every spoke is the same length, front and rear and I have several replacements that will ship w wheels. Wheels only, I am keeping rotors and giving tires to a friend. The Race Face Next R Carbon 27.5" Wheels have 31mm internal width carbon rims that are built for enduro style abuse and have an offset spoke hole layout that delivers improved tension balance to increase sturdiness. They have a long bearing life, spoke flanges designed for maximizing lateral stability, and the Vault Hub's super fast engagement. If you're looking for wheels that are a perfect balance between shred-ready and climb-crushing, these will be your go-to wheels. FEATURES Full carbon fiber construction makes these wheels lightweight and durable 4.5mm offset improves spoke balance and wheel stiffness Vault hubs with large oversized flange for improved bracing angle SPECIFICATIONS WHEEL SIZE 27.5" MATERIAL Carbon Fiber rims OUTER WIDTH - INNER WIDTH 31mm RIM HEIGHT 24mm SPOKE DRILLING 28H Front and Rear VALVE TYPE Presta TUBELESS Yes TIRE TYPE Clincher BRAKE COMPATIBILITY Disc (6-bolt) FRONT AXLE 15mm x 110mm Boost, 15mm x 100mm REAR AXLE 12mm x 148mm Boost, 12mm x 142mm INTENDED USE Trail, All-Mountain

Performance to Close All Remaining Stores, Over 95 ASE Employees Laid Off
Before you feel too bad about the state of LBS and Performance remember they were also a huge online retailer. No doubt some stores were better thanks to the individuals in them. That said, I have been in several across multiple states and can attest that they were run like a chain of friggin Chili's. Anyone look at their bankruptcy filing. They owed millions to GoPro, Cliff, and others. WTF? I have no point, I just kind of thought PB was a joke.

Race Face Next R Carbon Wheels - Review
Race speeds eat aluminum rims for lunch if you mix in rock gardens. I have personally blown through several aluminum hoops in one season. Time to experiment with carbon and see if that makes the difference. I have seen some testing to suggest yes. I do think straight lace hubs may be the secret, allowing for better deflection vs cracking. Just ordered my RF Next Rs, we shall see. BTW that warranty tells me that the failure rate is low enough to cover the risk (also that these things aren’t as expensive to make as we think).
