Video: Titanium Hardtail Hits

Apr 26, 2024 at 5:05
by DMR Bikes

WARNING: We've made a brand-new bike. However, our new bike doesn't come with four suspensions and a 666W motor, or even semi-automatic gears with a Li-Ion battery that lasts for 143 miles. It doesn't even come with a loam button (although that might be nice). Welcome to the all-new DMR Trailstar Titanium frame – 2.1kg of custom 3Al-2.5V titanium tubing, built to haul ass.

Finally, I’ve found my people! If you’re ever in Seattle, let’s rally. =) I might even drop my 33.5” saddle height on my 1999 titanium hardtail if things get really crazy =P

nice 600mm straight bar Big Grin
  • 3 0
@RedBurn: 635mm! Extra wide, haha. I put in some 90’s Onza extenders for bar ends and slid my grips out over them...much better than the stock 600mm for my Wookiee arms =)

1999? Ha! My 1994 titanium Dyna-Tech had already passed pre school when yours was born!

 yes DMR!
I've had years in the industry dealing with ebike t*ssers - and frankly they can all get in the sea. This is awesome.
  • 3 4
Plenty of t*ssers ride normal bikes, not sure why having an ebike make someone a t*sser!?
  • 3 0
@aikidoka: are you denying that ebikers are tossers?

Asking for a friend ...

Press release verbage written by a human with a sense of humour rather than an AI bot. Refreshing change this year.

 Hardtails are so good man
  • 1 1
…says everyone, right before they tell me about how they have this back problem which is why they need 160mm of travel on our local rolling blue trails.

@sfarnum: nah bro, f*cking embrace the pain

God bless hardtails and those that shred them.

 Amen.

It always feels good when your buddies on enduro sleds realize that you’ve kept up with them or smoked them on your hardtail, helps you tolerate the pain

Well after Alex rankin videos earlier this week. This DMR video smells a lot like it and I am loving it. Why not getting one of these to do what brits are doing best sessioning and repeating section of trail full with punk rock song in the head! Great timing there and superb edit

Website link is broken... Bike looks killer, and 1800£ frame pricetag didn't shock me either. Long slack hardtails are just such a hoot!

Youngsters need to put some RESPECT on Steve Gealls name, consistanty one of the best UK riders to ever be. I love that @dmrbikes still suppoet and show him love.

 External cable routing... Hell Ya!
  • 4 0
HT's will always be there for ya Smile
  • 5 2
It looks like the cable guides are optimized for left hand rear brakes. Not my cup of coffee
  • 12 2
Dude. It’s British. It’s not your cup of tea.
  • 6 1
 @drjohn: woosh
  • 2 0
Genuinely asking: how are they optimized for left/rear brakes?
  • 1 1
 @rigidsteel1312:
If you want right lever to rear brake, your hose will route to in front of the head tube to the left side of the bike. Your first brake cable guide should be on the left side. This is how the shifter should be too.

If you want left lever to control the rear brake you want the first cable guide on the right side.

this frame has one cable guide on either side (a brake side and a shifter side). I’ll take my downvotes after you try to route the cabling and and see how dumb it is.

 That was a fun watch!

My brain says yes to hardtails but my old ass back says no Frown
  • 3 0
I definitely need to order one…… can’t beat a ti hardtail
  • 1 0
Anyone else get really put off by Ben Deakin for no reason? It’s like a primal urge to breathe, eat, and hate BD.

Makes no dang sense, but I’m only human.
