A simple quote taken from an old Cherokee Legend. Always find the love, joy, compassion, peace, and serenity in a moment, and never forget that each day we have is a new chance to make yourself better, stronger, and more humble.
My name is Adam Gamble, I'm 27 years young, and live just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. I grew up on a farm, building sketchy jumps as a kid and loved being on my bike all summer long. Not much has changed, I still hit big sketchy jumps and ride my bike all summer long! Mountain biking has opened a whole new world of friends and experiences for me, and I am continually amazed at how tight knit and laid back the entire biking community in general truly is. You can meet some rad people on a chairlift or trail, strike up a convo, throw down a few laps, and then catch a beer after and share some laughs and smiles with folks who were complete strangers a few hours prior! It's incredible. I love riding for the adrenaline rush, the pursuit of always learning something and pushing myself. Riding is what I do to find the calm in my life and get out of my own head. It's the perfect escape.
I had been looking for several years to have an edit done to showcase my riding, and filming never came to be a reality for me until this fall. I was introduced to Andrij through a mutual riding friend (again with the tight-knit community), and had an awesome time getting to know him and filming with him over the course of the weekend. We met in Calgary and made the short trip out to Radium and Invermere. We were met with cloudy and slightly rainy weather over the weekend, but it made for some perfect trail conditions and a lot of fun riding! The fog that rolled through in the mornings made for some great shots. Throughout our trip we were met with hungry cows, starry nights, crisp mornings, and warm fires. While not riding and filming we shared some great conversation and meals around the fire, and just relaxed in the fall mountain air and chill atmosphere. With all of the fall colours showing through like a perfect picture, it was pretty zen! Having Bear (my Black Lab) along for the trip was nice as well, and he loves tearing down a trail with me. He's always up for the adventure and loves being out there with us.
I need to give a huge shout out to Andrij Chubaty (drevisuals) for the awesome time filming and taking the time to throw together such an awesome video for me. As well, a huge thank you to the trail builders and those that are maintaining the trails we rode... they are in prime shape! Keep the stoke high, the vibes chill, and your life happy!
