Poll: Once and For All, How Much Should a Mountain Bike Weigh?
@landscapeben: Those of us over 100 kilo naked get tired of breaking things when we ride that rowdy trail out in the middle no where.

MTB on a Budget: Where to Spend & Where to Save on Bike Parts
I don't understand the plastic pedal recommendations. I have major issues ripping pins out of plastic pedals. Aluminum bodies are much lower net cost and I don't have to deal with deciding to use them a few pins short or buy new ones

Made in USA: Inside Zipp's Carbon Wheel Testing and Production Facility
@millsr4: you can get those with synthetic rubies or silicone nitride tips. They silicone nitride might not show well in the photo if the stylus is small. They likely are running something small enough to measure the radius where the bead hits the wall

Video: Friday Fails #69
Am I seeing the ramp correctly at 1:25? It looks like a nice wood ramp propped up on a log standing on end

Jun 10, 2017Upgraded Kona Process 167 Large
$1900 USDRowdiest bike I have ever ridden. Want to ride Windrock DH, Windrock XC, Haw Ridge, Beach, Bailey, Snowshoe, Baker Creek, Dirty South, Trestle, and Bryce? Yup it can do that! It's not an XC bike, but climbs remarkably well and with the 26" wheels it is super playful and has very short chain stays for easy manuals and cornering. The 170 mm of front travel with 167 in the rear makes it handle like a mini-DH bike when the going gets rowdy.
Upgrades:
Front triangle replaced with 2016 front
Fox DHX2 climb switch coil rear shock. 450, 500, and 550 lb/in springs
Saint brakes and ice tech rotors with fresh pads
DT Swiss hubs and spank rims 29mm inner width
Spank Vibrocore handlebar 780 width
Huck Norris tire inserts
Nearly new DH casing 3c minnions (1 Windrock dh day in the rain)
Has been shuttled so it has a variety of miscellaneous nicks and light scratches. No structural issues.
Pick up or delivery to greater Knoxville area. Longer distance negotiable (depends on riding & shuttle opportunities at delivery location). Alternatively buyer pays shipping.

Recon Gen-2 R5 Shuttle Rack – Review
You can put a trunk rack on the side door of a Mazda 3 and then get in dukes of hazard style.
Btw recon makes a great rack.
