Hidden Switzerland: Ticino
@leelau: what would you otherwise do? It can get boring sometimes up there. After few wine bottles you might grab your riffle from Swiss army days and get a bit wild.

@vhdh666: Where is that you ride? Monte Tamaro? They do offer a day pass but there are not that many singletrails around the area. Bikepark is all blown out and has not been maintained since IXS race there few years ago. There is though a trail which starts at the bunker. It's quite a hike (+400m if I recall correctly) to the Mount Tamaro but the ride down is worth it. Oh, and then there is a trail left from middle station. You would need to pedal through the adventure park to reach it. That's all I have discovered in that area so far. Cardada is a great place. They do not offer a day pass as it is not meant to be a bikers destination per se. But it does come cheaper if you have a half-fare card. Been there once last autumn but need to get back and do some more exploration.

e*thirteen TRS+ Cassette - Review
I recently purchased this cassette and observe same issues that Mike describes in the review - lagging shifting, dropping chain when back-pedalling and a creaking noise now after these 2 months of rain here in Alps. Must say that my derailleur also needs a replacement but I doubt it will solve all the issues (defo not the creak). I should had stayed with SRAM 10-42 tooth cassette and reduced the chainring to 32-tooth. That would be a better solution I reckon.

In Graub√ľnden, Every Path is a Bike Trail
Yes, but who cares about one dorf complaining about destroyed trails?! I have been riding all over GR in last 5 years and it is not the mountainbikers that destroy the trails. Its the hikers, cows, beginners that are on the brakes all the time. (Un)fortunately there are not that many bikers in GR yet. The trails been there for hundreds of years and only recently bikers are exploring the region. Naturally those trails wear out but guess how much money it would take to maintain them. Too much given the manpower rate. If you complain about insufficiently maintained trails, maybe trail riding is not for you and you should consider road biking or BMX. Or just give up and watch TV. Bikeparks are very well maintained and some trails are a bit rough, but that only adds to the fun of riding them. GR is doing a great job in promoting mountainbiking in the kanton. It is easily reachable and there are tons of great singletrails. Take any app and you can just go and take any lift and adventure for days. There is enormous potential in Switzerland and especially GR. For instance, take Chur. They open early and were open till 31 December. St Moritz is differernt story. It is in remote place, daypass is expensive, but the flowtrail is great. Plus the terrain is different to rest of GR. If you combine that with Livigno or Madesimo (both in ITA), it is still a great destination. I have not come across angry farmers or hikers in Switzerland (Ticino might be exception but they are Italians..). So come and ride in GR and/or Wallis!!
