He just posted on insta like 25 minutes ago, and he appears to be riding with a race plate. I don't know where the footage is from though.

He's only riding the practice sessions - not racing.

Wonder how the UCI point decision has affected the number of riders on the start list compared to the last round, surly a lot less riders starting this week

There's actually 1 more Elite Men rider in the qualification start list this week than there were at the previous WC race (Val di Sole).

There's also 18 more Elite Men this year than started qualis at last year's Vallnord race.

Tom Pidcock has been on holiday this week, so either he doesn't start. Or he might not be in tip top condition.

Or he needed a week of recovery and will be at the top.

Gee is in the Qualifying start order. Whether he drops in our not is different story. prod.chronorace.be/angular/results.html#/uci/event/20230824_mtb/DHI/CG1

@bgoldstone: FWIW, he participated in Timed Training today.

Also, FWIW, Jackson Goldstone also participated and did great, 4th fastest. It's awesome to see him back to full health (or close enough to full health to post a fast time in training.)

@Bibico: timed training is essentially practice. some races offer it this year some don't. Jack was 100th and something earlier so they are doing multiple timed runs. Hope to see Gee race, he'd have some fitness after prepping for Hardbull and his TT today would put him into a semi final spot.

@Bibico: They have timed training again now?
  • 1 0
@jokullthor: At least this week they do. No idea if they'll have it in other races the rest of the season.
