Dylan Stark Signs With YT for 2020

by Ed Spratt

Dylan Stark has announced on Instagram that he will be riding for YT in 2020 after picking up his first major mountain bike sponsorship deal with the German brand. In 2019 Dylan began riding YT's bikes after impressing them with his unique riding style but for this year they decided to make things more official by offering a contract with the brand.

bigquotesOnce 2020 came around they offered me a contract and there’s no way I’d say no to such a rad brand/ family. This is the first time I’ve ever had this kind of bike support in my life and I hope to be able to send it on all sorts of bikes and see what 2020 has to offer and I’m super hyped to be apart of the YT team! Dylan Stark

After watching Dylan's incredible 2019 mixtape we can't wait to see what he will get up to in 2020.

Everyone talking shit about Dylan proves that pinkbike has been overwhelmed by snooty dentists. Go back to debating the benefits of getting your carbon brake levers Kashima coated

Everyone who has met Dylan in person says he’s a nice guy, and he f*cking shreds.

Good to see him getting some recognition, his riding truly stands alone in the cycling world.

Can you please tell me where I can get my carbon levers kashima coated? I know that slippery brake levers can be a handful, but I just want them to match nicely.

Dylan seems like a great mountain biker, I guess I’ve been on a 29er too long; his 26er almost looks like a bmxxx.

 @lognar: Damn. That’s real Cambodian.

 You don't choke a legend.

Maybe this is his first major sponsorship in MTB, but he's been on a bunch of pro teams in BMX over the years. Hopefully this goes better.
  • 4 2
I wouldn’t say that bmx didn’t work out well for him. He just rips at both!
  • 4 2
@stumphumper92: Of course he's a great rider, but why do you think he's been dropped by so many teams?
  • 43 2
Cowboy Cerrone got his ass kicked by McGregor last night so YT took his bike back and gave it to this guy.

Come on, don’t be a dick about it. He didn’t get his ass kicked. He got his face kicked.

@jaame: I have no idea what happened in the fight. I couldn't care less about UFC. I just saw a headline that he lost.
  • 9 9
@sino428: I was just messing around. What happened was this. McGregor came out like an animal, went for a first punch KO, Cowboy tied him up, McGregor hit him three times with brutal shoulder strikes (!) one of which smashed Cowboy’s nose. Cowboy pushed away and went for a head kick, McGregor returned a high kick and connected with Cowboy’s face. Rocked, McGregor went in for the kill, landing a couple of hard lefts to the side of the head. Then it was a quick scramble until the ref pulled him off.
I love mountain biking. I love golf. I love football. I love the UFC. I love rugby. I love body building. I pretty much love a lot of sports.
  • 5 3
@jaame: Same here. I like baseball, football, basketball, golf, etc. Still play almost all of them myself too (except football) I was just never into fighting. Never could really get into UFC or boxing.
  • 4 0
@sino428: I get your point. It's not everyone's cup of tea. Good on you though for diversification of interest. A lot of people on here seem to think you're only allowed to like one sport. I'm into anything that gets me up and about really.
  • 4 1
@jaame: yea you see a lot of hate for the more mainstream sports on here sometimes. Not really sure why. I grew up playing those sports. Started basketball and baseball when I was 6 years old and started golfing with my dad when I was 10. I messed around with bmx in my teens but from about 16 year old until I was about 30 I didn’t touch a bike until I got into mountain biking.

It is odd that mountain biking does sort of attract a one sport mentality. Me personally, I don't follow too many professional sports, other than cycling/MTB (DH, XC, Enduro, CX) and sailing. I'm not much of a conversationalist on a Monday morning. My co-works are parattling on about the latest sports ball match and I'm all "Did you see the DH race this weekend?" Or "How about the SailGP race, pretty crazy, huh?"
I'm a riot, huh.
  • 2 1
Lmao- I could see Cam going back over there the next morning, pounding on the front door and yelling.......“Yo Cerrone! Gimme the bike back bitch! That fight was a disgrace!”
  • 3 0
@jaame: one of the “shoulder jabs” caught him under the left eye and by the time McNuggets hand was raised he was swollen and black/blue. Anyone who says cowboy took a dive or had no heart is a casual, and has never been hit in the face.
  • 1 0
@bubbrubb: Absolutely. McGregor was animalistic like never before. Thoughts on his chances against Masvidal if they fight? Before this weekend I thought Jorge would kill him. Now I’m not so sure.
  • 1 0
@jaame: id be disappointed If masvidal is next. Before his epic ‘19 Mas was one of my fav fighters, but I don’t think he should be next. Gathje, Khabib, Tony Ferg. It should be one of these.
  • 1 0
@bubbrubb: McGregor wants to eat kabobs. He will be next. I hope kabobs gets smashed. It would set up a great decider.
Conor Jorge is the most exciting fight though.

@sino428: I like sportz and I don't care who knows.

This is by far the best news this year. Nobody deserves a quality sponsor more. 306 CrabApple, Mini-flips on everything from a BMX to a DH bike to a E-Bike. Huge gaps, flairs on things that shouldn't be flaired, Dylan is a badass.
  • 2 1
Are we going to see an e-BMX?
  • 4 0
Man, if @ironmane gets to qualify for rampage this year at the proving grounds... and can enter some serious comps, holy shit, everyone better watch out!

I can’t wait for 2020 riding season to hit hard af.

Never wears a helmet when riding, happens to have a helmet for a still photo lol. Not hating or anything, just think its funny.
  • 3 2
Maybe part of the contract. Should be...when all the forums get on brands to support injured riders. Make them be safe.
  • 12 5
Go watch his 2019 mix tape video ya f*cken clown he has a helmet on for the majority of it ????
  • 6 0
He wears a helmet more than not.
  • 2 1
 Tony should be proud.
  • 4 6
He's just a punk. He ripped out thousands of dollars worth of someone else's money in concrete form work to send it off that roof drop. What a douche!
  • 2 2
They literally just had to be re-staked into the ground, they were sitting right there.
  • 5 0
@EvinReed: if you've ever constructed concrete forms you'd know they needed A LOT more to it than "just had to be re-staked into the ground".
  • 1 3
 But

 Who?
