by Ed Spratt
The results are in from the second round of the 2024 EDR World Cup series as riders battled through mixed conditions in Poland.

Following the drama-filed first round of racing in Finale Ligure riders didn't have much rest before heading to Poland where they got between the tape for the second time this year. The new course saw riders face heavy rain part way through the day with Bailey Christie, Simona Kuchynkova, Isabeau Courdurier and Charlie Murray stepping onto the top of the podium.

Would someone PLEASE tell Charlie the Stumpy isn't progressive enough and the Lyrik is barely suitable for blue square flow trails?! And the Super Deluxe air are you even serious?? Imagine what this guy could do with the Comments section on his side.

More bike is for safety margin. When you're strong and skilled enough, a good geometry on a stable chassis is enough. Rider like Charlie can deal with lack of compliance while reap the benefits of light weight and agility. Me on the other hand, I want all the bike I can bring so I have the biggest margin when I screw up, and I don't mind pedaling a 40lbs bike around.

I think he's said that he prefers the nimble handling of the stumpjumper over the enduro. Also, I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

Often the stumpy Evo is a person's only bike and charlie isnt a big dude at approx 80kg. For someone whos 90 and wants a one bike band, its not progressive enough, However the joke is funny and the rest is true asf.

He also did the DH track as a pre-runner twice in style the following days, no problems whatsoever.

 How close can racing get???
0.23 difference in the womens race between first and second over 5 stages of racing and 0.095 in the mens... that's just crazy.

Now if only one could see any of it live Big Grin

But really looking forward to the gopro race footage from Charlie, Jesse, Texi and some nice summaries by the YT Mob and some others.

only .095 difference in mens... crazy
  • 2 0
Crazy close. Women less than quarter of a second in it

I am guilty of bitching about EDR and the change to discovery, but the recap vids are still killer - could be better of course, but it's something anyway.

UCI has long sucked, and how it is that the organizations and riders that should be so close to and nurturing a sport seem to be shitting all over it - but I'm stoked to watch the recaps– and yes even the ebike action because f*ck anybody that says those riders are not top-notch athletes. Mosley & Barel don't suck.

Anyway the more I and we bitch, the more we drag down these athletes and this actually baller aspect of biking. Keep watching highlights & updates & spread it all around - what little bit there is beats nothing or a dead sport when we all know these men & women riders are the very strongest among us.

I'm lying an crying, Sławek was so close....
  • 5 1
@Mtn-Goat-13: exactly. this comment deserves all the upvotes.
  • 15 0
The only way to see it live is watching it on site Smile It was awesome, dudes are monsters.
It's cool to see the difference is style, Łukasik rides efficient and light, Rude rides like a tank, Moir is all over the place Smile

Can’t imagine what is in your head when you are less than a second off the win on a 20min race on a world cup
  • 1 0
It's closer than many XC races and they aren't even chasing someone to the finish. Just pushing hard for every fraction of a second.

 @tbubier: back again

  • 10 0
 MoiMoi was on fire today.
  • 4 0
Insanely impressive considering the slam he took recently. Awesome performance!
  • 4 0
@ridedigrepeat: it's interesting to see how his times dropped off with each stage, I'm guessing his hand started hurting more and more as the day went on, and it suggests when he's back to full strength he'll be vying for the top spot...
  • 2 0
Relieved to see he's back in form so quickly. Go Moi Moi!
  • 40 3
I can't believe cell A2 beat cell D12. Incredible racing!

sucks. Any psychic broadcasting from her crystal ball next?

Is it just me who finds a "world class" Enduro race on a weekday weird? Just as well there's no coverage as must of us would be pretending to do some work and not be able to see it. Shite.
  • 1 1
I'm pretty sure a lot of the "viewers" would also need to pretend to be doing some work during a weekend race.
  • 2 0
I was pretty surprised to see that it was held on a Friday. Thought it was this weekend

Incredible result for Chloe Tayler!! Charlie Murray too within a second winning margin!
  • 2 0
She absolutely blitzed the long stage 2 and held on for the 3rd place, really impressive day
  • 17 0
Amazing to see Charlie win, but man, you gotta feel for Slawomir being a fraction off winning this home race!

F*cking Charlie Murray!!!!! NICE WORK MATE

A Stumpjumper is leading the Enduro overall. What a time to be alive.

Woooow. Sorry Lukasik got nipped just by that tiny amount on his home trails!

Isabeau's setting up to go on hiatus after a threepeat. That's really cool.
  • 9 0
It would be her fourth title if she manages it, one more than Cecile Ravanel got! Exciting season for sure.
  • 3 0
@sarahmoore: Completely forgot about the 4th one. Small brain problems.
  • 10 0
Way to go Charlie! A great rider and an even better guy.
  • 7 0
Top 5 are all guys you can root for.
Greg Callahan is another that I would like to see up there (I know, there are more, these are just off the top of my head)

I don't Normally moan about UCI but the live timing wasn't even working today, they really need to sort it out a few instagram posts from boring parts of the track is not on.
  • 6 0
It was working for me, surprisingly. It wasn't the best experience, but still
  • 6 0
This sounds odd. I wasn't following the timing all the time, but checked it quite often throughout the race and at all times everything seemed to be working well and in time. Compared to last weekend it worked like a dream, only complaint is on mobile the actual timing box on the website is super tiny and doesn't scale in any direction, so the amount of scrolling needed is ridiculous.
  • 3 0
Live timing worked perfectly for me.
  • 9 0
 Gowaaan Chloe!
  • 6 0
Lol I had no idea this was even on today. I guess it's better to just click and see results than try follow the live timing.
  • 7 0
Awesome to see Kaspar healthy and performing again. Kids got speed!
  • 7 1
Charlie just won an Enduro on a Stumpy. Some mandatory in-office meetings just got scheduled in Morgan Hill.
  • 1 0
The new Enduro never won an enduro. It is kinda hilarious because it was (still is?) the benchmark for enduro bikes and stumpy won before it
  • 5 0
What, it's over? Man, they need to f*ck off with these DH/EDR combined events. It's really absurd how little coverage it gets being shunted to a terrible time slot.
  • 3 1
it's the most stupid thing for the interest of the sport... all the season lacking racing content and now overdose too much concentration, impossible to digest and focus in several shows at time..
  • 2 0
If UCI needs to charge more to the ones who can just simply separate DH an Enduro in one Week as it use to be right?
  • 7 0
 Yeah Randy!!
  • 7 0
 Stoked for Chloe
  • 5 0
So close for Slawek to win in his own country, I am wondering what happened on stage 2 though..
  • 4 0
What a fierce battle for the top spots in the men's and women's elite! It was so close for Slawek! A first World Cup win in front of his home crowd would have been sweet!
  • 7 2
Anyone else not realize this was on today

It was great to see the race live, everyone was all smiles at the start and also along the route going up. Seeing a Canadian sleeve, I asked Wei Tien on the uphill the obvious question: "Oilers or Canucks?" and he answered "I don´t understand..." Big Grin The other Canadian sleeve Jesse was pushing the steepest bit on the fireroad to my surprise...he was saving as much as possible I guess Smile
  • 4 0
 C’mon! 0.095 s. I wouldn’t to be inside Lukasik’s head right now
  • 4 0
Stoked to see Charlie finally win one.
  • 5 0
 Yes Chloe!

I'm assuming Emily Carrick Anderson's Dad is Crawford (og dh racer)......which makes me feel REALLY old!!
Graet result for Alex Storr (local boy). The rain and slop must have reminded him of home!!!
  • 3 0
CHARLIE CHARLIE CHARLIE awesome result man!!! Must be your mechanic Tom being a size on the tools helping you to this win
  • 3 1
Everyone made their transition times!? Gross. The sport is ruined now. They are supposed to be professional athletes and now the sport is for sissies and whatnot...
  • 3 0
The way enduro results should be. Murray is the enduro guy.
  • 2 0
What a sick top ten! Chaz maz on top, Moimoi is finally fit again, + Menzies and Kasper the squamish boys turnin up!!!
  • 2 0
I don't really care about a list of results. i want to see some racing. Is there any coverage?
  • 1 0
Looks like Stage 1 & 2 determined the race with lots of variance in the numbers....the remaining stages had very little deviation from the mean
  • 1 0
I wonder if after the mechanical he made the decision to pull out and grab the emtb again to focus on the dh race?
  • 2 1
Wow I had no idea this was happening today courtesy of the limited coverage
  • 3 1
Ed Bull Media House in 28th overall ... not to bad for a DH guy!
