The results are in from the fourth round of the 2021 DH World Cup in Lenzerheide. Jackson Goldstone started today's racing with his third World Cup win in a row and another win after his World Champs win last weekend. Crossing the line just over two seconds back is fastest qualifier Pau Menoyo Busquets. James MacDermid completes the top three Junior Men, four seconds off Jackson.
The Junior Women's racing saw the European and World Champion Izabela Yankova continue her dominance as she bests Gracey Hemstreet by three and a half seconds. Izabela's race time would have been good enough for fifth place in the Elite Women's qualifying.
After some incredible runs, Myriam Nicole bested the Elite Women's field by over two and a half seconds as she takes the win in Lenzerheide. Tahnee Seagrave was back on top form as she finishes in second place. Vali Höll shook off her bad luck this year to secure third place.
It was a French domination in the Elite Men's race as Loris Vergier wins his second World Cup in a row. Loic Bruni is back on top form again as he goes into second place, with the series leader Thibaut Daprela in third place. Amaury Pierron completes the French domination of the podium.

I'm amazed that sponsors put up with athletes saying stuff like Dean has been saying. To me it's as bad as the racism thing that Perrion did on Instagram.
How can Scott/any of his other sponsors support someone who's ignorance is promoting putting people in danger?
Disgusting. There's more to be a sponsored athlete than getting podiums (which I might add, he dose not).
If i posted the things he did I'd have no job and very few friends.

Come on buddy, when you have a position that is completely and entirely refuted by science you're just wrong and we have no obligation to listen to or consider it.
I don’t think it’s useful to argue whether it’s possible to die of it, or whether or not it’s a real thing.
Deffo up for debate is whether lockdowns have been justified or not.
It is beyond me how we can question the validity of the pandemic, what a virus is, and what vaccines can and cannot do. These things are all facts and I wish all the conspiracy pushers would have a minimal understanding of the science behind the pandemic, the virus or the vaccine.
Conspiracy pushers do not have a single valid argument and zero proofs. All they have is “I don’t believe it” or “you can’t prove that”. Neither is an argument that it is not true.
We did have diabetes, cancer, obesity etc 200 years ago, but we lived on average 20 years less, had less food, moved much more (no cars and had to work with our hands and feet!), and were globally only 1/7th of what we are now. We also tended to die of these diseases undiagnosed.
Only people getting sick/dying are obese, metabolically unhealthy and hormone-d (vitamin-d) deficient. There is a reason Japan has 100 deaths per million vs New York that has 3,000 deaths per million.
These side effects from these things they call “vaccines” are not so “rare” and they are most dangerous/damaging vaccines in history.
Reports like this Kyle Warner guy (might have permanent heart damage) are everywhere

What a race! Vergier is on fire! Goldstone is on fire! Yankova is on fire! Nicole is on fire! Minnaar GOAT! See you in Snowshoe!
A small amount of ER’s were busy with the wild virus. Luckily the Delta variant seems less symptomatic so it’s unlikely to happen moving forward as the dry tinder (gross term I know) has already been consumed.
I would love to know your thoughts and you can educate those of us who work in pharma R&D. I will make sure to forward your enlightening comments to my regulatory counterparts
I hear there is a blog from a Dr Internetexpert who knows everything that you can quote.
Ha!
no, the virology response is not that. would you do that with Ebola? I assume you mean for this virus. I can just ask again. The number of hospitalisations is too great for any society to manage. Not only would you not be able to treat all, but you would also delay/miss other patients. We still have to pretend to treat the "dry tinder" after all.
It is debatable whether lock-downs are still required. I suspect that once vaccination numbers are higher it will stop. There is no way that there is a world wide conspiracy from all governments, hospitals, scientists etc to fool the population just for some governments to control their population. I won't even debate something like that.
An alternative thing to do would have been to have soft lockdowns and let everyone catch Covid if they wanted to take the chance. If they did that we would have lost maybe a few percent more people, almost exclusively very old or unhealthy ones, and on with our lives 14 months ago. Would that be preferable to what we have experienced instead? That’s a matter of opinion. I think that would have been referred to as the Darwinian approach, and I did read that the UK government favoured that plan until the PR department told them they would lose the next election if they did it.
What’s more important? Doing what you believe is best, or maintaining power?
When you measure success in the binary life:death, the whole picture is lost. A lot of lives have been wrecked by the policy of the last 18 months. Students, the young. Whole percentages of life experiences lost to never be reclaimed - it must be hard to swallow in the knowledge that if you caught it you would have been fine anyway (touch wood).
This 100%
It’s not going away, how we deal with that and how we’ve dealt with it are entirely up for debate.
I worked in a busy factory all winter but wasn’t allowed to drive an hour to go ride my bike. Mental
Vaccination rate based on what? Computer modelling like Neil Ferguson used to convince the UK government to abandon a herd immunity approach because 5 million people would die? An utter impossibility. In any case Israel is proving that boosters will be required on an bi-annual basis at the very least, so it begs the question, how much spike protein in the vaccines over the longterm is worse than contracting the virus?
I do not believe at this stage hospitals would be overwhelmed as there are numerous, effective, treatments that prevent the disease progressing to an acute stage. One of the reasons some hospitals struggled with high numbers initially was that people with a positive test were told to go home and wait until their symptoms were so bad that would require hospitalization. Exactly what happened to my parents and an absolutely ridiculous situation that I’m sure caused thousands of unnecessary deaths.
I think you’re being very naive if you don't think governments have seized on this pandemic to increase division and fracture social cohesion. That’s the primary goal of any government as it often leads to reelection. Why else have we gone from 2 weeks to flatten the curve to vaccine passports and restrictions for the unvaccinated? (I can barely believe that is the current reality). Then there’s the little matter of pharmaceutical multinationals and 160 billion dollars in vaccines? Have you never wondered why any non-vaccine treatment was utterly derided and the person mentioning it was heavily mocked by media/institutions for mentioning it?
Anyone who thinks the response to this virus is simply governments acting in the best health interests of the public is either completely indoctrinated by the media or has lost the ability to think critically.
@nozes: really sorry, man. Reality is a foreign country to so many nowadays.
Own it!
The fact is, in places like British Columbia, where our vaccination rate is nearing 80%, the number of new cases is vastly lower than in other parts of North America, and the current new cases are nearly 80% unvaccinated.

My problem is that with people like jclnv advocating to remove the "dry tinder", this is eugenics. Very clear and simple. Suggesting to kill the old and weak is a society I don't want. To prevent increased hospitalisations we just don't treat anyone over 65? We do all get older, so it will be our turn at some point?
Hospitals were overwhelmed. If a small rural hospital has 6 ICU units and 4 are occupied for 3 weeks by a covid patient it only is 66% full, but it only takes 1 car accident and a planned operation to make it full. In the beginning we had no idea how to treat patients. Thats why they said stay at home as long as you can, because why should you fill a bed in hospital? We have better treatments now, and despite conspiracies, the research on it is going at full strength, with millions poured into it. But treatments are a short term solution and does not necessarily make you immune to future infections, rewiring you to get treated over and over again. A vaccine solves this problem. And the cost
Yes, some governments have tried to exploit the situation. On both sides of the political spectrum. Cant really argue the the USA republicans are not trying to jump on this as some sort of anti-democracy thing, while the former president wanted to have the vaccine called after himself. But you have to see that there are other countries. This is not and cannot be a global conspiracy. And if we look around. Thos governments that seek to use all means to stay in power to not promote divide. They censor and oppress the opposition.
Go look up Staphylococcus superantigen toxin, it produces all the same side effects as the "vaccines"

"It's just the flu" - Dean Lucas 2021
Don't come home. Australia is a better place without you.
I saw your stories and unfollowed you immediately. Go f*ck yourself.
@deanosmachineos has just put up a insta story stating that you have misunderstood his post and that COVID is real and he isn't an anti vaxer.
Dean, does this mean that you don't think it's just as bad as the flu?
You shared a copy of ONE of the posts that you put up about it. Do you also retract the other ones where you said I was just the same as the flu?
You're in a pretty amazing position mate, traveling while we're all stuck at home, so assuming you're also vaccinated?
Can you set this all right for us?
Is covid a real danger?
Is it worse than the flu?
Do you stand by your previous comments?
Does not look that "rare" to me?
You think that the spike proteins these are generating are staying in the local injection site and not getting distributed throughout the body?
You think that the spike proteins these are generating are harmless?
You think this is a good idea to inject this into the population every 6 months?
MRNA is injected and will enter various cells throughout the body, where the spike protein then will be produced. The immune system recognises these and build a response. The spike protein will also be produced during a natural COVID infection. The mRNA will be destroyed within days and then spike protein production stops. I doubt the spike protein hangs around very long, but I have not red those studies, so I wont comment on it.
Yes, I think that in most cases the spike protein is harmless.
We won’t need to get vaccinated every 6 months. Current research shows a solid response even 1 year later.
Current hospitalisation in Sweden is 90% not fully vaccinated patients, with the remaining mostly either immune deficient or come from outside of Sweden and the vaccination status is not clear. At least these were the numbers we were recently given. Since this matches very well with observations from around the world, this seems to be quite valid.
Is more research required? Of course. Is the mRNA vaccine rushed? The technology has been in research for 20 years. And yes, also with animal studies. But not with the spike protein in mind.
How's that for a valid opinion?
The majority of the population in BC is in the Vancouver area, which has a population density similar to other metro areas in North America.
However, the Vaccine rate is extremely high here, which is matched by the low rate of hospitalizations among vaccinated. The vast majority of hospitalizations are the unvaccinated, and they are absolutely being reported. Unless your contention is that 'different cultures' are letting their relatives die at home instead of taking them to the hospital.
The internet strikes again. Lol
What is documented as "hospitalized" in one country is classified as a visit in another. PCR false positives are STILL being recorded and then documented as positive cases. Covid19 being attributed and recorded as the cause of death for any person who died while infected is dubious at best, and dishonest objectively.
That is just the tip of the iceberg. But based on that alone people are rightfully distrustful of the situation and the people steering it.
Vague phrasing, and terms which allow for liberal (nonpolitical) interpretation are nothing to build an argument on. I figured if a person's going to read an article like that and find it compelling then it's silly to waste time on their other link.
Should we question what it means in different countries to be hospitalised once data doesn't line up with how you want it to? Do we look at policies which force hospital staff to record some things differently?
Speaking of cultures, my contention was that Cdns with asian ancestry are smart enough to see doctors who speak "their" language and play by different rules. Under-reported "cases" only increase the survivability rate of a virus which mostly kills people over the average age of life expectancy.
Speaking of numbers, do you have even a slight inkling as to how policy and directives can massively warp numbers?
But if there is no warping then you're left with data indicating the vaccinated in some countries are worse off, what do you do with that?
Go run to the your precious cbc and ask your government run....err sponso....err "subsidized" news agency to tell you what to think.
Good luck.
I think we’re at different ends of the spectrum on the response to this virus. If you want to read why the outcome you think is possible with the current vaccines, and a fast mutating Corona virus, is fantasy, I highly recommend reading this entire article.
www.juliusruechel.com/2021/09/the-snake-oil-salesmen-and-covid-zero.html?fbclid=IwAR1N8Wd8Djx8Lvf5nqLoDgZZl2RCHwW8h07e2wvh_ViQUWGc34E2nYdu7uQ
A visit to the doctor is never a hospitalisation. In no statistic. You are informed wrong there. And yes, in some cases cause of death might differ but if you are referring to icebergs, then I would say that your cases of unrelated deaths despite covid infection are a drop in the ocean. We will get better numbers with time but numbers are generally corrected upwards, not downwards.
Scientist who look at the numbers are not all part of some super conspiracy. And the numbers are not provided by one dude in a shady suit. Most regions regions are run independently, providing independent numbers. They all lie? Really? I’m sorry, but you are misinformed.
Absolute insanity but here we are.
The high number of PCR false positives are real, why you would pretend that isn't the case or demand evidence (when it's impossible you haven't seen it yourself) tells me you WANT things to be worse than they are.
In some countries, like in Italy, people were sent to the hospital based on a + PCR test. Also, clinics and hospitals received government money for every "case." So, like in Poland, Czech Rep, and others, some hospitals were dedicated (still are) to Covid19 testing facilities and for keeping anyone who had a positive test. The problem is in some cities THAT is the only hospital with facilities to handle other medical problems so people went in for "Covid" so the doctors would pay attention to them at all.
Evidence? Just challenge yourself and it's all around you.
There are some very negative 'collateral' effects of lockdown: ie. for businesses, job security, individual financial situations, family life, domestic violence and general mental health. These are again fairly easy to demonstrate statistically. I guess the debate is whether these negatives are worth the trade off of a functioning healthcare system and lower death toll.
The person has a right to choose where he spends his money according to his beliefs. They have made this choice since the dawn of currency
If you have to call people names because they choose to spend a differently than you then you have a lot of growing up to do
My understanding is they are the ones most at risk of dying from (cough cough) covid related issues through no fault but their own.
"Science" is just a term used in the press releases and by the internet, its not what we use in the medical industry.
Yes scientists test hypotheses and use their evidence to support or disprove them. Everything is open to interpretation, statistics can be manipulated to support an argument. Models are used to predict future events to degrees of probability. I’m totally down with science. It’s what got us to where we are, despite its nature of trial and error.
What I’m not down with is people being fed the term “the science” in a way that suggests they can’t question it, and must follow what they are told to follow according to the government or media’s interpretation of it.
I’m not questioning whether or not Covid is a thing or whether vaccines work. I am questioning how many ways there are to skin a cat. I am also wondering why there is so much hate for people who hold different views, even ones that are probably wrong. So much righteousness!
You should no support censorship. EVER. Because the people who get to decide what it is and enforce it are the people who benefit most from its existence.
The "views" you may be referring to are no different in terms of being "absolutely batshit" than the people who just digest as fact whatever is deemed to be official. We went from knowledge that politicians are in it for their own skin to putting them in charge of what we put in our bodies- it's been patently ridiculous to watch.
We've gone from full knowledge that big pharma is out to sell as much of anything they can to buying as much of whatever they tell us we have to inject.
Numerous doctors and researchers in North America and Europe have stated they have been censured, and in some cases censored with regard to their opinions conflicting with the status quo of Covid 19. In fact no dissenting opinions are allowed, that's what communist, and fascist governments did in the 20th century.
If one expresses a dissenting opinion or interpretation of data, it's labelled as conspiratorial nonsense-if no dissenting opinions are allowed with fear of reprisal then how can objective science go on at the public level? It can't.
FFS, even suggesting that this didn't come organically from chinese people eating bats, but instead came out of the lab which concocts viruses, and has financial and research ties to various parties involved in covid research has been labelled as a crazy conspiracy theory. Think about that, the f'n media managed to convince people that this came from Chinese people eating bats. That was the official explanation.
Corruption is real, egos are real, fear is real and those are tools that are being used to warp public perception. We are in stage 3 testing of a vaccine that doesn't work. Since it's not actually a vaccination if it doesn't prevent infection or spreading, the CDC just changed the meaning of some words and all's good.
Again, that's what communist and fascist governments did less than a century ago.
I can only throw up my hands in frustration at the intellectual cowardice I'm seeing from so many people who are much more intelligent than me. I'm done.
All I am saying is that there is a lot of good science out there which has been spot on to the current development. And yes, there are things implemented that are not based on the science but I disagree that it is a global conspiracy to take over the world.
I work in medical devices (R&D), doing the sciency, engineeringy thing.
I object to people being whiny bitches about simple measures like wearing a mask (because facebook science and also they look weird and if I can't see my own face I can't remember who I am) and others not knowing the difference between the virus and the frigging vaccine.
Enjoy your riding fella.
We can give you a Darwin award now if you'd like.
What's your motivation? Ensure that as many people die while giving the finger to imaginary evil world governments?
And you seriously think they give a shit about you? This bullshit started (in Canada at least) with two weeks to flatten the curve and now we have a form of medical apartheid were people who do not want to take part in a potentially lifelong vaccine program aren’t allowed to access businesses and public services. Do you really think it’s going to end there if the masses keep sucking this junk up? Holy crap the naivety.
www.bbc.com/future/article/20200528-why-most-covid-19-deaths-wont-be-from-the-virus
What’s my motivation? My daughter.
Just get the vaccine and look after the people around you.
I read the last line about your daughter, I'm sure that if she doesn't share your views she'll be fine
Never had a FB account, I'm pleased to say.
Governments suck to varying degrees, but it doesn't mean they are flat out trying to f*ck us over at every single opportunity. It's all more chaotic and complex than people want to believe and vaccines are the one thing that takes exiting this pandemic out of the hands of the authorities and into those of medical science, which is surely a good thing.
I mean, a vaccine that was developed in one and a half years instead of one and a half decades seems like a reasonable reason to me… but I don’t know the details
If people understood the process for financing new products, clinical trials and FDA clearance etc. then they would understand that the timeline was fine as all the gates were open for developing a vaccine.
Governments suck? Perhaps it's their dishonesty? Maybe their penchant for corruption andhistorical dereliction of mandate?
An pervasive and recurring theme in recorded history, it is that of the powerful doing everything they can do break the majority of people. Even when one group is usurped, it has never taken long for corruption to seep into the next group making the rules. It's too prevalent to deny.
Medical science? That's a concept, not an animate being i.e. it's a concept reliant on people to exist. Becoming a medical researcher doesn't work as a panacea for negative personality traits.
Who funds "Medical Science?" Are there any connections between policy makers and the people funded?
It's not even a contrived thought process, rather just a few basic questions of who's getting money from whom. Who's making money as a result? Do they have a history of lying or censoring anyone who disagrees?
That your sacred msm was not all over the Gates Ghebreyesus connection from the outset was basically a tacit admission that "they" will decide what you need to know. That any doctor, or researcher, no matter how credible is either ignored or maligned by the media if they publicly share their reasoning for disagreeing the government policy is another red flag.
Many people simply refuse to honestly question if they are being lied to and manipulated despite the limitless precedents for it. They're no different than the Germans of the 30's- better just to go along with it and pretend whatever they're told to do is for the better.
Bottom line is either you truly believe that covid is BS, governments are f*cking with us and hospital workers are in on it, which is just insane, or you want no protection measures and no vaccines because you think humanity is ripe for a cull and you think you will come out smelling of roses because you exercise, eat healthily and take vitamin D. Which is it?
p.s. "you projected some b.s. reasoning onto a group of people you disagree with" nope, all manner of even worse BS is rife everywhere in the tinfoil hat community, I think I'm actually overestimating them
Why can I not think Covid-19 exists, government bodies and private firms are exploiting it and manipulating the public, and health care workers are just doing their jobs? Why are you saying I have to believe they're in on it?
Your logic doesn't hold.
The first problem is you can't logically project some nonsensical thinking on a group of people and then declare them crazy because of the projections you've invented.
The second and more fundamental problem is you can't logically assign people to some arbitrary collective based on the sole feature that you disagree with them. How many doctors and researchers would be in that group, and you want to define them as conspiratorial because they disagree with you? It's borderline narcissistic, but in your case I think it's just a case of not challenging your own reasoning.
As I see it there will be some people with a negative reaction to it, some will die, most won't. The same could be said for pretty much anything to a degree. Some people would die if they ate nuts or shellfish, for example. I get terrible asthma from cat hairs but I'm not saying cats are a government conspiracy to end asthmatics.
The main things I don't like about the whole situation are the constantly moving goal posts (referenced in the two weeks to flatten the curve comment above) - we have lost a lot of freedom without being consulted in the past 18 months. In my opinion, people who want to carry on their own business should be left to do so. Protect those who need protecting and let everyone else take their chances seems like a better approach. A few more people would die but truthfully it does not matter to me if millions of people I've never met die. I don't want anyone I know to, and I would do everything I could to protect my parents. I'm not down with the idea that 70 million people in the UK alone have to give up their lives for an indeterminate amount of time to protect 250 thousand others. I've enjoyed having an excuse not to go shopping with my wife but it sucks a bag of dicks if you're a teenager or young adult.
That and the vaccine mandate I heard about in Canada. It's a kind of assault, insisting you let someone you don't know penetrate you and push some fluid in whether you like it or not. It's just wrong. If you're vulnerable, stay the f*ck home yo!
Also there was a highly plausible explanation presented about the lab leaking the virus, which the media totally pissed on and ridiculed not because it was ridiculous but because Trump (and probably most people who can join dots) favoured it. We must discredit Trump at all costs! Politics and the media got in the way and made a f*cking big mess. I wish they would just say "Carry on!" and let us get on with our lives now. It's been long enough.
Unfortunately we did do as well as we can in behaving and following the rules and guidelines. Too many special people out there having parties, trail building, riding all the time, everywhere. An outbreak up here came from one of those parties, someone took it into school and 4 of my 5 kids ended up with Covid, including my 3 year old daughter! My eldest (17) got longer effects from her Covid and is nearly better now some months on.
Like with most things, the minority can ruin it for the majority though. The attitude of not caring what happens to other people, that lack of empathy, has been all too apparent in the last 18 months in certain parts of society.
You say we lost a lot of freedom... Compared to countries that really locked down (look at Vietnam just now, some workers are at work, but living there and can't leave, just to produce things, but those items are Kanbanned until the transport infrastructure is running again), we have never really locked down in the UK. Our lockdown was a joke, we didn't lose our freedom, we just had to stay in for a while. Compare our lockdown to China's! If you know what China did, they really locked down.
We do love to dramatize over here, that is something we are really good at.
Maybe we should look elsewhere and think ourselves lucky sometimes.
BTW there is no Forced Vaccination program in the USA. It is 'mandated' for some workers, but you are free to refuse it as long as you get tested weekly. Is that too hard for you? Yes. Yes it is.
My wife's sister moved to Vietnam in February this year and I've heard daily stories about how factories have got locked up with the workers inside (although it sounds like there is ambiguity around whether or not that is voluntary - in a no work/no pay system people want to work). They're also only allowed out for essential shopping two hours a day and hers were 18:00 - 20:00 when her small kids are awake and cannot be left alone in the house. When her husband gets back frm work early he can go but usually everything is sold out - "I got 1kg of rice, two eggs, a mango and a potato... at least we have enough rice."
I'm interested to know what would have happened if we just had a full lockdown where literally no one was allowed out for two weeks. 100% of people stay at home for two weeks. Would the virus have then just fizzled out?
Wait,he isn't old enough to smoke,is he?
Also, the sound guy must have been out on a very long brake during the entire show. In sections with loud spectators, chainsaws etc you could barely hear the commentary.
And finally, it's 2021. Is it really necessary to show on live feed the whole proces of a female rider changing her clothes (Myriam)?? WTF was that, seriously. They were showing spectators instead of riders being on course, during their race runs, but they can't do that while a woman is changing clothes? This isn't about showing bodies, it's about a sport, called downhill, FFS.
Zoom out fella.
Also, did anyone else's live feed cut out on the last split for Loris?! Then reloaded when he won? That was very upsetting
Tour de trance is something though
Seems to me most of the top 10 knew how to take this chicane pretty fast by jumping from one side to the other.
Seems like the high-pivot hype for Enduro and DH is more than just hot air now.
Also that he seems to have had lunch with all the riders before the race so has great insight into each of them! I've got a lovely image of him holding court in a little mountain café with a bottle of wine and each rider passing through for a chat and a bite of Elliott's sandwich...
2) one of his legs is f*cked from a crash last week. Surprising he's racing at all, let alone putting down that run. Don't blame if he's losing some strength at the bottom.
