Years of following people's lines have paid off for nate hills.

Imagine the 3 seconds gap probably came down to not beeping the transponder quick enough at the end of the stage.. With times that close, and timing as inaccurate, I'd say there are 3 winners..

This year was my first year for doing the TransNZ. Was a little dubious when the first day was cold AF and snowing but by the time we hit Queenstown the stoke level was high.

Awesome to see Colorado doing well. Thanks Nate Hill! I saw Sarah Rawley was doing well days 1-3 but was listed DNF at the end. She OK?

I remember that slow grind up Skippers - probably one the toughest climbs after Moonlight to Ben Lomond in Q-town!

One hundredth!!! Holy smokes that’s unbelievable how close that is. That could be one pedal stroke or less that one tire slip in a turn.

I guess since it's a stage race the total time is not 1 Minute 40 seconds but 1 hour 40 minutes. Thus the difference is 1 second. Still impressive, though.

I think it is one second, but still incredibly close after nearly two hours racing! Third place only three seconds back too.
  • + 9
Given that this is an extended enduro, that is probably 1 second. Now, that's still crazy, esp. as third is three seconds back. 1-3 seconds over 1 hour, 40 minutes of timed riding is wild.

The time gap on the video ending beer chug was wider than the time gap of the final standings.
