I'm there and the rain is already there too .... it's gonna be hum... interesting I think

According to meteoblue it should stop raining in the evening. And it should not rain tomorrow (but in the mountains maybe you never know)
  • 1 0
Oh yea, it walloped down all from 7-9pm. I'll be curious to see how it's affected the track in morning. But there was that rain at 11am and that completely dried up by 2.

Just a guess, but Yuki Kushima has the smoothest stanchions in the pits.

flag nateb FL (Aug 26, 2022 at 5:11) (Below Threshold)
Because his surname is the closest to kashima?

@nateb: do we really need to explain everything these days?

I hope Angel Suarez has a great run. He deserves it.
  • 57 0
I think anyone who has a great run deserves it in this sport.
  • 5 0
 @teamdoa: True!!
  • 2 0
@teamdoa: in any sport for that matter
  • 17 4
Gwin used to not deserve it, but ever since the PB editors were enlightened by RuPaul about Gwin's career, Gwin actually does deserve it.

@ct0413: I was going to say wtf, then found this www.pinkbike.com/news/opinion-aaron-gwin-and-vulnerability.html
  • 4 1
@thustlewhumber: Yeah I'm sure without context my comment was just as much of a roller coaster of "wtf" as the article.
  • 1 0
@thustlewhumber: LOL not sure how I missed that one.

Despite being the same age as Veronika Widmann or Troy Brosnan, looking at the year of birth on the list made me feel old...
  • 11 0
Thanks to the GOAT and Blenki, the 80's are represented!!
  • 5 1
Damn, Gwin is the 2nd oldest rider!
  • 2 2
Look at the e-bike list, one of the racers was born in the 60’s..
  • 2 0
@sportstuff: that's why i won't ride an e-bike before being 60... Health problems are an exemption.
  • 5 1
Interesting to see how much younger on average the women are. There are plenty of '02 and '03 riders in the elites, whereas in the men's there are significantly less riders as young.

 This is just Wrong !
At the end we will see the same usual 30 riders.. One rider from my country (Portugal) had a 27th quali run and still i won't be able to see his run Live... this sucks big time !
  • 5 0
You should be able to see his run live. In the past RB showed all riders on the live stream for world champs. I could be mistaken if they made changes this year though :/
  • 3 0
@pastaman23: they did use to show all the runs. even the guys 2 mins off pace
  • 4 0
It's a joke. World champs are about your form on the day. Qualifying should be the same with no protected riders.
  • 1 0
@sidekicksjn: I never understood Worlds! World championship should be like in F1. It should be based on your total points won that season. Dumb.
  • 8 6
Why do they qualify if they end up starting them I a different place?? Example: Ronan Dunne qualified 11th but his start place is 28th from last not 11th from last!!
  • 3 2
I think the protected rider status counts for World champs too
  • 8 1
 From the last PB post..

"Results from qualifying today do not decide the start order for Saturday's World Champs race, instead, riders will start in UCI order on finals day."
  • 5 0
There was some cutoff date earlier this season. Someone else probably knows when it was. Maybe it was whenever the deadline was for submitting entries. Anyway, starting order for the finals in DH is determined by your UCI standings as of that cutoff date. Highest ranked rider is last out of the start gate. Other than the Protected riders, everyone else has to still post a qualifying time because riders have to still be in the top 80 in quali times to be in the finals.
  • 4 2
World champs quali is basically timed training. Same as every year.
  • 6 0
@Trailsoup: Not really. Had Hart and Greenland not beed protected, they would not be allowed to start.

 hmm . . . . .. . . . . . . . . .

Does anyone know why the junior women are only 15 for the finals when 17 girls qualified yesterday? Literally asking for a friend..
  • 1 0
 *18 girls qualified/finished.
  • 2 0
15 is all that are allowed under UCI's rules for junior women. Junior men get 60.
  • 1 0
because UCI rulebook is made by idiots
  • 3 1
Hey UCI, thanks for the Geo Blocking yet again.
  • 1 0
@ajaypate1: Am I reading that list correctly that USA IP addresses are blocked from watching the live feed?!
  • 3 0
@OneEyedHito: Ah there you are, I was looking for you. Should've looked under the rock
  • 1 0
All I wanna know is, as a Canadian how do I watch? Geo blocked as well

Go Canada!
  • 1 1
I just want to say I forgot to change my lineup before rosters locked. I would never bet against Amaury at Les Gets.
  • 1 0
 Kiwi's lagging a little..
  • 1 0
Bruni was insane. French 1,2,3. Ridiculous
  • 1 1
Does Worlds generate any UCI points towards overall WC standings?
  • 1 1
Strange how the race start times arent even listed...
  • 2 0
It’s the second column. The one called time
  • 1 0
@bgoldstone: now this seems to make sense lol
