 This is the new standard.

The timing of the impacts to the music is just one thing that makes Sleeper collective edits such a pleasure to watch.

Hey Sleeper Collective - End of season full length edit (full film) like the old days? Mtb dh race films are missed dearly by us all.

Who would pay £10-15 for a full season edit from Sleeper Collective? Just me?
  • 19 0
 Yeah I would
  • 28 0
I love that they caught Rob Warner at 2:35 doing anything he can to stay involved at the world cups, even weed whacking!

I’d gladly pay for a full season film from these guys. A little Clay Porter type storytelling combined with their style would be the pinnacle

100%. We already know they can kill it on the longer form story telling format (The Pilot, Flying Scotsman etc). But man these race shreddits are just insanely good, can't get enough.

@scottlakesmtb this was the standard, back before red bull took over - every race there would be a handful of these awesome edits of real action from the weekend. This is what gets me stoked to ride, not 4 sections of track over and over with a couple of folk chatting... "And here's the next rider...oh and look they were faster there but slower at the finish. And here's the next rider...oh look they're going quickly." FML. Give me action!

Lucozade > Redbull as proven by the soundtrack to this clip.
Good work lads

yeah like the old Earthed videos!

If it weren't for sleeper co, moi mi and ed bull media, I wouldn't have watched any WC content this year.
  • 43 3
You're missing out, all the races have been unbelievable. Most exciting WC season i have ever watched.
  • 17 17
@jokullthor: I'm normally out riding so if I only managed to watch a few of the free races, I'm not going to pay. And then the semi's have diluted my interest in watching the actual race process.
  • 8 1
@jokullthor: completely agree, an inreal season of racing
  • 5 0
@russthedog: is inreal like real, but inside of real, like sort of within-real so totally real.
  • 5 0
@browner: No, it’s like the next dimension of real. Imagine reality is like a tube sock, and you’ve folded it within itself. It’s double real.
  • 1 0
 @Cord1: like insane, Vs insane?
  • 2 0
 @Cord1: insane Vs unsane*...thanks autocorrect.

What the hell kind of amazing, rip snorting, unbelievable video is this!!
  • 3 0
Amazing. So happy to see some of the podium celebrations after they were completely ignored during the broadcast. So many other great bits of footage. Peircy hitting that berm, Cummings through the rocks, absolute banger! I guess that was the crash that put Kade out. One thing I would like to know is how that ended for Asa Vermette on the double drop, excited to see him at the WC races next year.
  • 4 0
@commental: Asa kept rolling like nothing happened.
  • 2 0
@Stihlgoin: didn't even slow down lol
  • 20 0
Now THIS deserves the “Must Watch” headline. Absolutely excellent! Thanks Sleeper Co.

Downhill is basically Cathro + sleeper co. now.

Sad, but also happy times.

Do you mean other than the live coverage and replays of races? There's heaps of coverage in addition to this, go check out what the trams pump out

 Wyn TV!
  • 1 0
Also the highlights reels have improved since the start of the season (where they just showed the 3 fastest runs) they now show a lot more context.

Also, though he's no Rob Warner, I like Ric and Cedric is improving, also really great having Gwin on colour commentary.
  • 2 1
That said I'm not paying for something that doesn't work on my TV. I tried Discovery+ via Amazon Prime and every week was a mess, either no commentary (with really quiet on track sound - so effectively silent unless I put the sound right up), and then one week Elite DH replay just wasn't there at all. Also all the other (non-sports, but I'm not really interested in any other sports) content on Disco+ is pure jank, not a single thing I would watch otherwise.

@alexhyland: Come on man, Alaskan Bush Retards is unmissable.

@mattg95: talking about his use of "f*ck" every three words. it was nice listening to Oisin by comparison. Ronan is young he's just shooting from the hip.
  • 5 0
@mattg95: Definitely disrespectful to the hard working men and women who build much of the work we interact with on a daily basis. Having said that, as a member of the construction industry, can f$%king confirm.
  • 4 0
@ace9: it's just f*****g punctuation. He's quite restrained compared to my brother in law.

Man I can't watch that enough. What an awesome recap of an amazing weekend.

Thanks for starting my day with the artistic endeavors of The Cult! Amazing editing and riding.
  • 2 0
About 5 years ago, saw The Cult open for Guns n' Roses at Dodger Stadium. It was glorious.
  • 7 0
@AppleJack76: Hilarious, I saw GNR open for the Cult in the 80s. The crowd actually booed GNR off stage! Axel as he left stage: "f*ck you Calgary, we're NEVER coming back." And they never did...
  • 1 0
@slowerthanmydentist: same thing in Denver with Metallica and nwa

THAT is a great video, thank you so much. Well done!

BTW: it shows very well that once again, more of the nearest trees need (thick) foam protections. So many violent trees impacts!!!

Just when you think they’ll never be anything as good as Rankin.
So Stoked by this I can’t contain myself, just, just, can’t contain myself…..

The Cult was always in my Walkman back on my mid-late 80s road rides... Almost makes me miss road riding.
  • 3 0
 Absolutely sublime.

So good, that in the middle of a fairly crap Monday at work, this has made me decide to knock off early and go ride until I feel better Smile
  • 3 0
These edits are so f*cking good. Hard to capture such a big weekend in 4 minutes but these boys do it.
  • 2 0
Never realized there is that much carnage on those races... surprisingly little injury really, if that is how those training and qualifyings go...
  • 4 0
Thank you! Watching this really makes me happy, it's got it all!
  • 3 0
Awesome video. Really caught the vibe of the amazing weekend.

Didn't make it this year but have in years past. Snowshoe needs to be on your calendar. Such a sick weekend and gnarly track.
  • 6 1
Heard they aren’t coming back next year. It’s too gnarly for the new whack format. Hope I’m wrong. That track is a lot different from the F1 motorway styles in Europe. It lets those who excel in the slick and chunder have a chance to prove themselves, and it always shakes up the podium. Great place to race.

Snowshoe is a wild and wonderful place. Regardless if the race comes back or not, it should definitely be on any true shredders list to ride. Wild and wonderful. I live in the NW now and the trails are incredible, but grew up an hour from Snowshoe. If you want to check your skills in the raw tech thats a rad place to do it. No cell service on the mtn helps people disconnect and focus on the thrill of downhill and live in the moment. The entire community up there is legit too.

I feel like I should have payed good money to watch this. Superb.

The soundtrack of Matt Hoffman’s pro bmx 2 is burned into my memory.

Do riders like Snowshoe track? It seems one of the craziest ones ever, really spectacular, but seems like a hell for the bikes and riders. The video was awesome!!!

The 4:03-4:09 sequence is what its about. What a show!

UCI is sleeping if they don't hire The Sleeper Collective to do post race recap edits of WCDH and EDS. GCN take notes.

I love how chaotic these edits are! Keep em' coming

What a fine swashbuckling edit, stoked me to go ride, more of this please! Banging tune also.

Major late 90s gran turismo vibes for me, definitely one of the best edits of the year.
  • 1 0
Postpunk vibes with the Cult! Such a great song choice! Loved the way they matched the vocals with the edit.
