Why is this data format so bad? How is it that, in 2021, we can't have sortable and searchable data? Instead we are downgraded to shitty images of results. I know it's on PB's fault.

For real, let me feed this info into excel.... Not trying to do this all by hand.

Honestly 100% agree. Data visualizations would make great content, people can and should be able to leverage this data and it'd be great to see what kind of fun and innovative shit that came out of anyone wanting to leverage this particular data.

Also a great time to plug that the edit comment functionality on Pinkbike is a goddamn disgrace to humanity. lmao.

Daprela with a monster lead in the Elite Men’s.

Very realistic chance he’ll run away with the overall.

In the team standings, the two top Commencal teams also have a fair lead over the rest. And it may look like less as the juniors simply win fewer points, but Jackson Goldstone is also a fair bit ahead over the rest. Even if Jordans would win the next race and Goldstone would place 12th, he'd still be leading in the overall.

Curious and it doesn't bother me at all, but why is Camille placed second and Myriam placed first? Is it just a limitation of the score chart format or is there something else they look at next (like adding total race times or something) to decide who's first?

@vinay: Both Camille and Myriam have won one race, but their next best result is a second for Myriam and third for Camille. I assume that's the reason, basically they compare best results and see who has more wins or best positions.

 His to lose now.
Wonder if he'll shift his focus to making sure he finishes well rather than trying to jump to hyperspace?

@chakaping: yeah I think the question is can he maintain this level of performance without occurring any injury-causing crashes before the end of the season?

@jose90: most tiebreakers based on most recent result....

That picture of Miriam Nicole is outstanding

I'm hoping that Phil Atwill can keep it up and finish in the top 20. I love watching people who look like they're having a blast.

Dan Slack will be my other guy to pull for now as well. I enjoy when guys are having success while putting together their own program.

The women's field is as competitive and entertaining as it's ever been. Lots of women still in the hunt. My gut says it'll come down to Nicole and Holl. Mens field... no one is gonna catch Thibaut barring a mechanical or an injury. He's just riding too good. But if he slips at all I could see Loris making some waves. He's been fast but unlucky. That last race showed where he really is and I think he'll win 1 or 2 more at least and podium the rest of the way out. My hopes is that Minnaar stays fast and smooth and is right there til the end. I'd love to see that dude win another overall and a couple more races. How about Jackson Goldstone though people. Damn dude! Dude decides to commit to racing and starts smoking people. That crash he had in the rocks was insane. Then turns around and puts a heater down. This kid is so small. Every time I see him it trips me out that it's the same kid from the videos. He is so damned good. The fact that we could possibly see him in Elites in 2 more years is bonkers to me. Get some dude!

I thought the same watching the race - Farina laid down a scorcher of a run unlike I can recall her doing before, Vali Holl's run seemed a little tentative everywhere except the rock garden where she seemed aggressive, would love to see Cabirou back on form and the hoff back in there too. Men's field is so deep with talent and speed its crazy. You dont have to be shit to end up out of the top 20 you just have to have the smallest of bobbles in your run, especially on a track like Maribor.

It would be amazing and super entertaining if we get to see Loris rising up to win the overall in the last race, surely he is going to fight for it and so is Daprela the two of them are the ones in best form right now. Pretty much a battle between them. In womens I think is between Myrian and Camille who is playing it solid and consistent but super exciting to see tight times and a fierce battle!

@paulskibum: We were whooping through Eleanora's run. Been following the women's race for a while and never seen her race like that either. Worried about Cabirou after that massive crash, would be a much tighter field with her in form, hope she is just slowly recovering.
Thibault seems very focused on the overall would be amazing if he can pull it off

Tristan Lemire from Canada, first year in the juniors with a 16th, a 10th and now a 5th position. The kid is getting comfortable, keep going young fella you are doing awesome!
  • 2 0
What happened to the dark horse Matt Walker? He was on such a belter last year and now down in 13th overall. Not that that's a bad position, but I'd thought he'd continue to stay in the top 10.

Who win the overall in his second year elite or less ? Vouilloz for sure, maybe Minnaar ?
  • 1 0
Didn't Minnaar win it in his first year?
  • 5 1
Big battle for 42nd in men's.
  • 4 0
I absolutely love watching Myriam ride, so aggressive!

Why are there two parts to the scoring for each event? For example, for Event 1 Daprela scored 30 and 160 for a total of 190. Is it one score for steeziness and one score for speed?
  • 2 0
You get points for qualifying. So he got 30 points for qualifying 3rd and 160 points for coming second in the race.
  • 1 0
Commencal doing it! One mistake for Daprela though and Minnaar, Brosnan or Vergier could strike. Ladies wide open, two first year juniors with one hand on the trophy.
  • 2 0
Anyone know what happened to Fairclough? Assuming he didn't qualify, but I haven't seen anything on PB or YT about it.
  • 3 0
he rides flats and this track did not suit flats lol.
  • 1 0
Is David Trummer the first full 29er bike in the mens overall? 16th overall
  • 5 0
Pretty sure Minnaar is on a full 29er
  • 2 0
Brosnan in second, so I know things are back to normal.
  • 2 0
Commencal is killing it and aluminium bikes arent dead.
  • 3 4
Still f*cking impresses by Vali Höll.
Coming back from an injury and her "second first" elite season and standing currently in 3rd place! Amazing!
  • 2 0
But everyone thought she was a shoe in for the title - I feel like she would be without last corner issues in the first two.
  • 1 1
@paulskibum: yeah i think these 2 crashes killed her mental game...
hope she gets over it and starts to enjoy the whole thing because she doesn't seem very happy at the moment.

All to play for in the women's elite.
Could it be decided by the weather?
