The Complete 2019 Crankworx Rotorua Schedule

Returning for its fourth year Crankworx Rotorua offers an exciting start to the season with riders battling across a number of different disciplines.

For the first time this year, we will get to see some of the top athletes go face to face as they compete for points to be crowned King or Queen of Crankworx. Last years king Sam Blenkinsop will be returning try and secure the crown for another year, whereas five times Queen of Crankworx winner Jill Kintner has announced that she will not be attending Crankworx this year forfeiting her chance to hold onto the title.

The offseason is officially over so let's take a look at what you can expect to see over the next week from New Zealand.

100% Dual Slalom

The week starts with the 100% Dual Slalom, as riders battle it out over the course featuring jumps and berms it will be exciting to see who comes out on top. With both of last years winners from the elite category, Tomas Slavik and Jill Kintner, not racing the top spot could be won be anyone.

Air DH presented by Bosch
Crankworx Rotorua 2018 - Air DH

Next up is the Air DH, taking place on Rotorua's version of Whistler's A-line the trail named 'Mr Black' features fast berms and over 30 jumps for riders to tackle as they race their way to the bottom. Check out the all the action as riders hit the course on Wednesday.

Mons Royale Speed & Style
Loron vs Howard

Offering a mix of Slopestyle and Dual Slalom the Mons Royale Dual Speed and Style offers exhilarating racing as riders try and to be both fast and stylish. Expect backflips, tailwhips and crashes as everyone pushes their limits. Look out for this amazing event on Thursday.

RockShox Rotorua Pump Track Challenge

Friday will see the riders race side by side again as they take on the Rockshox Rotorua Pump Track Challenge. The intense racing will take place over a number of heats before the winner is crowned. Last year saw some extremely close racing and we expect no change for this years event. This is one you don't want to miss.

Giant Toa Enduro presented by CamelBak

After a year off the EWS returns to Crankworx Rotorua for the Giant Toa Enduro presented by Camelbak. After some extremely wet racing two years ago that saw some of the top enduro riders struggle for good results everyone will be hoping for a repeat of last years dry conditions. With a full roster of EWS pros in attendance, it will be interesting to see if last years winners Keegan Wright and Casey Brown can repeat their victories.
