Danny Hart got away with a gnarly one

VPN services are the way to go to get the last (at least for a couple of years) Rob Warner commentary
No one can name 2nd place at Worlds. So Vali, Nina and Myriam are all 3 going for an all or nothing win. Statistically, all 3 of them blowing off track isn't likely, but at Worlds, the chances of it happening and Cami sitting on the top of the podium because of it is very real.
I am surprised though... seems early.
Since 1995, there have only been TEN riders win Men's World Championships.
That's 27 years!!!
The Alien - 7 (in only 8 tries)
Minnaar - 4 (1st & last are18 years apart)
Bruni - 4 (winning 4 of 5
Hill - 3 (in 5 years)
Hart - 2 (in 6 Years)
Atherton - 2 (in 6 Yrs)
Barel - 2 (back to back)
Rockwell - 1 (only rider to break Nico's undefeated streak)
Wilson - 1
Gachet - 1
King - 1
Cullinan - 1
Iten - 1
Herbold - 1
Longest win streaks:
Nico - 5
Bruni - 3
GM, Hill, Barel - 2
Wins by Country:
France - 14 of 32 - ONLY 4 different riders (3 riders winning 10 of 12 between 1994 & 2005 )
Great Britian - 6 (4 different riders)
S Africa - 4 (1 rider)
USA - 4 (4 different riders...3 of the first 4)
Australia - 3 (1 rider)
Swiss - 1

They put points for qualifications in world cup rounds, but in world championship they can't
Top 10 female riders are protected.
Not sure about rules for juniors.
rough that 61 jr men made it down the course and the cut off is 60. Ondrej Kolecik didn;t make it to finals.

If you hit the 'stats' tab you can see some graphs which show the positions change

He made the gap, but then the berm spat him out.
Tegan's currently 4th in World Cup standings, but apparently there's no Protected list in Juniors (at least for World Champs... I think there are only 3 Protected in World Cup).
@$%^ING WORLD CHAMPS BABY !!!
my pick is Myriam and Aumary
Today quali is just a time training … :-)
"Results from qualifying today do not decide the start order for Saturday's World Champs race, instead, riders will start in UCI order on finals day."
There is a qualifying cut off
15 - Jnr Women
60 - Jnr Men
40 - Elite Women
80 - Elite Men
The top ranked riders in Elite only do have protected status Top 10 women & Top 20 men
So some will miss out unfortunately
All the Elite women get through, all bar two Jnr Women get through.
The mens qualy numbers are greater, but so many more miss out...
We need more women in our sport...
